Hi fellas.. this is probably a repeated post.. but anyone knows where to get some nice looking half helmets? i have been to several helmets stores and i usually leave empty handed..

Try Regina motor along Jalan Besar, near LAB.

I went there recently and they have a new stock of 'leather' wrapped half caps at $25/-only...but quite light through, so wonder about the grade.

I wanted to get another type of half cap but they say some Vietnamese came and bought everything.

Inbetween Ah Boy & Regina, there're displays for a half cap helmet called 'Bob's vintage helmets. They're half-caps.. cartoon design.. dragon ball etc. I wanted to buy and respray, but it's rather ex.

 

I asked one owner of this helmet. He told me from LAB, abt $300 there about. Wa.. I asked Derek.. also quoted $250+. So ex.. should be high quality..

thanks fellas.. guess there isnt many choices when it comes to half helmets.. have looked at many shops.. seems like 3/4 helmets and open helmets are more popular.. looks like i prolly get one from regina.. if not open up my choices to 3/4 helmets..

saw 2 german half cap at Admiralty MRT cash converter. L size, quality wise got doubt can withstand impact. very light weight.

Check out Golden Wall Centre, there is a Vespa shop that sells not only Vespa parts and accessories but as well as half-cap helmet.

saw the caps @ Nagoya Hill, very cool but felt v unsafe, super lightweight. I ended up buying the German cap in the hypermart.

Half and skull caps are already unsafe no matter the minimal weight difference bro... Ride safe ok

yeah half-caps do nothing to protect ur fragile skull.the least u can do is to ride safe n watch out 4 other motorists.the other day an article on half caps came out

yeah and there was a letter by "a concerned road user" that specifically singled out Harley riders. He commented that he often saw Harley riders wearing unsafe skull caps and most of the time we're loud too and requested the authorities to do something...or to that extent...hehe.

 

Take away the skull caps u take away the style...take away the sound is to take everything.
