MotorPay for IU

guys, if i am a registered user of motorpay and goes thru an ERP gantry with my cash card, will the system duduct from my cash card or just charge to my cc account? what if i enter a shopping centre carpark - are those individual carpark operators tied up with the motorpay or do i need to have a cash card to pay? same question applies to second link toll payment, will the motorpay works there without the cash card? anyone who knows kindly shed light on this matter, thank you...

MotorPay is a service jointly provided by LTA and DBS to enable customers to pay ERP charges via their credit cards.

At this moment, Motorpay can only be used to pay ERP. For Carpark, you would still need to use the cashcard.

 

2nd Link does not use IU. You insert the cash card for toll deduction.

got an email informing that my application for motorpay has been activated yesterday, so this morning decided to give it a try. went pass 2 ERP gantries on CTE southbound towards city this morning without cash card in IU. when i pass the gantry, my IU does not register anything. no beep, no message, no nothing. i was hoping that it will flash something like a short display to acknowledge that my IU is registered with MotorPay, or something like that. Or should I need to have the cash card in my IU for it to work? Now will have to wait the next couple of days to find out if the system works, hope no letters from the LTA...

just logged in to http://www.motorpay.com.sg to check my transactions. for today 25-Oct-08 to 25-Oct-08, it started no records found. started to feel a little panicky until I read that my ERP charges will be updated the next day. hope this system works, will keep interested bikers posted of this development.

Today is my second day using, and I noticed the red light will flash and remain on for about 2~3 seconds when passing by the gantry. And I checked the website, the transaction for yesterday has been updated already.

Nope, for both days I have not inserted the cashcard.... just wait for a day and you should see it bah.... Remember keep the email you received as a record and proof.

Motorpay is a good idea. I've applied for it too. But we still have to keep that utterly ugly piece of junk on our bikes ..

would be from ur cashcard. so once u rec email to confirm ur activation, remove cashcard.

Just received the confirmation email.

 

If I have a cashcard in my IU, the deduction will be made to my cashcard.

 

If no cashcard is detected in the IU when I pass through the ERP gantry, my credit card will be charged.

To me they should have made the subscription FOC. Its like not worth the amount if u are not the forgetful type heheheh. (Only in this scenario)

 

Means never use the service. Paying summons of $4 (To those that are not frequently being summon for not putting cash card) is better than paying subscriptions every month. (Applies only to those that are not forgetful).

My subscription is only $1.61 per month leh .. I think there was a promotion during the initial launch of the service.

 

The fine is $10 + the ERP charges right? Got $4 fine one meh? So "cheap"? Haha.

Actually I seldom go through also .. but I'll get very mad when I kena fine hehe .. last year I think I fined 3-4 times.

if youre using debit card, they will deduct 50 bucks every now and then.. after youve gone through a few gantries.. lets say 5.50.. the rest of the unused amount will be refunded into your bank account after a long long long period of time.. they will deduct as many times as they want.. they deducted 50 bucks from my account 3 times 12 march, 25 march and 29 march.. a total of 150 bucks yet to be refunded to my bank account.. so those using debit card.. please beware of these things.. this only applies to debit card holders only.. planning to cancel as its damm irritating to see pending settlement in my bank statement..
