Scalpers, normally we do not consider adding an alarm as a real modification. Also, if you did a search, you would find several topics already asking the same thing.

To answer your questions anyway.

1. You can look for FatBiker's alarms, in the MO section, if you are interested. He also has 2-way alarms and those are definitely better, while still reasonably priced for an alarm (around 100-130, 1-way is less than that). If you really have the money to burn and want to protect your bike get the Scorpio, which will cost a whopping 350-400 depending on how you buy it.

2. The only after-fix problem you might have is with people toying with your alarm and sounding it off till your battery is flat. Other problems might include a poor installation resulting in the alarm not working, etc.

3. Mentioned above.

4. Remote starters are problematic and if anything crops up, what happens? You burn another hole in your pocket just to patch the problem. It is best advised that you do not get something with a remote starter.

Adidas: Mine is the Scorpio, I got it for 350 through Deterspine (on this forum). Installed at MotoWorld. The perimeter sensor add-on is 80 bucks. The Scorpio is a very good alarm, it is very sensitive but not to the point that when thunder sounds it goes off. It has different types of warnings for each kind of possible situation like shock (when your bike gets bumped), tilt (when your wheel is tilted), and others.

However it is very expensive, and you only want to get this if you really are going to ride your bike for quite a long time and if you plan to go to Malaysia and other places often. It is not that useful in Singapore because the interferences from just one block of flats will cancel out the signal. You can actually still activate and deactivate the alarm but it requires some time to acquire the remote at the alarm. Also, it only comes with one remote. At least it is a 2-way alarm so you know when it sounds.

And I forgot to post about last night. Nice meeting 6.5 and Wen and their friend, not to mention Iqiem who was there early.

Fairings are not that ex bro.. They have some at the $80 range..

If really wanna save the $$, can go popular book store, buy some plastic containers, cut them up & glue them up together to customize your own fairing.. :p Just joking bro...

Yup.. The auntie shop at Lavender can cut up the fairings for you if you want them to.. They can carbon fiber wrap it for you too for a small fee..

I've not seen a Bol'dor series with fairing.. Be the first one to do it mate!

Ask you guys something: To fix your fairings, Auntie shop there fix with the soft metal strip or those hard stiff ones? And at what point do they fix to on the bike? If got pics to help even better.

I found my fairings already but will be buying elsewhere. Planning to fix myself if not too difficult. So soon I will be joining the fairing club... haha

Yup.. Most of the fairing comes "blank" by default in matt colors.. Mostly black .. They have red and orange ones too.. They are actually meant for scramblers but we stole them for our S4 use.. :p

You can respray yourself or wrap it up.. Stickers are individual preference.. I put mine with strips of reflective stickers & the name of my bike.. You can also purchase the actual stickers for the fairings but it cost a bomb.. A pair for both sides are about $200..

The auntie shop at Lavender fix the fairing with a solid strip of metal.. I think 2 points with screw.. Normally they'll use the one beside the rediator.. The rest they'll just do a cable tie to your crash bar..

Wow.. You bought yourself a pair of fairings already.. Have to see.. Your S4 now has "wings".. :p

Will be picking up my second ride this Thursday or Friday.. Wish me luck.. The next time I go outing with you guys, I'll ride a different bike.. Project "Ghost II"..
