Actually for smokers like us, we get additional 7 bucks on FAGS and if we eat, its cheaper food. Also, pumping in 2nd link tends to be a mini social gathering for some ( i dont ever go in alone). So there are some mini benefits that cannot really be tabulated in as well.

PS. The thrill of doing stuff which are illegal on SG roads are also a factor for some :sweat:

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

Need sugar mommy for : Hel brake lines and top end overhaul.

Just put all the toll amount to $0.00 for those who go by Woodlands Causeway..

Wah, I think we got very good contributors on how we can save money when pumping petrol in Johore GP. In any event, if our sole purpose is go in to pump petrol and come back then it is up to each individual to do their own calculation to see if it's worth it. However, if we are going in to enjoy ourselves be it the food or shopping other than purely for the petrol, then we can count on the petrol savings as a bonus.

Anyway, good to know that we have some brainstorming sessions here.

Keep it up guys.

one very important point to note is that this excel spreadsheet does not take into consideration the fact that u do not have an absolute empty tank when u reach gp esso. u prob have at least 1 or 2 litres of reserve fuel left. ( do not attempt riding to gp esso with dangerously low level or petrol. getting stuck along the way can be real trouble). thus when u enter your tank capacity in B16, try to enter 1-2 litres less. this will give a more accurate estimate! hope this helps!

i did a calculation using my method which is similar to the one provided with 2litres of petrol left in my tank... not worth it... save about $1-$2 if i go malaysia depending on wat petrol you pump in singapore.. if pump premium, i save $2, but if i pump 95, i save $0!!!

and also dun forget the credit card discounts... if factor them in, then savings will not be much if go msia to pump... but like someone here mentioned, if going to 2nd purely for petrol, not quite worth it, but if go there with friends for ride and makan and fags, then it's ok... i will rather spend extra $2 for 2-3hours more rest!!!

hi guys...4 my bike,actually save alot 2 pumpet at JB...nt juz save on d travelling cost only...but on shopping...hahhaaa...roughly i save SGD40-120 evrytym i pumpet at JB...i hate 2 do shpg in spore...vegies,seafood,breads&etc...alllll at JB..d tips is...u'v 2 bring 1 medium sized bagpack&1 camping bag...sure u can bring more thn 50ltrs of storage..it'l b more if u got side bike box&rear box...hahahhaa...bt dun bring any1 2 shop...juz do it by urself..sure save alot...

2 mantain my bike,i neva do it in spore shop...espeacially d eo...i use d best lubricant in d world..bttr thn Maxima or Motul 300v..dat eo is nt available in spore market...it lubricates d engine 150-300% bttr thn Maxima or Motul 300v..bt cheaper..juz rm37.50 per ltr..can last 4 10Kkm or more..

i'm calculative in paying anything...anything dat i buy shud b worth it&save alot...&do nt lost anything...i'll feel a big lost if shop in spore...dis' juz my personal opinion..if u wanna follo may do it...

ok...back 2 d travelling cost of pumpet at JB= i use fz 150i,which i'll only pump at least 12.77ltrs (d tank allow 13.5ltr max aft shaking d bike owez while pumpet)...go&return cost 4 d fuel(1st shell frm causeway) is RM1.80, total maintanance cost 4 d journey is rm0.63...(i calculated all 'cost consumption 4 all parts dat require service/change/maintanance)...so total journey cost=rm2.43(eqvlnt 2 SGD1.04)...well...petrol station is juz next door frm my block at sengkang..but neva pumpet thr..13ltr ron 95=rm23.40...plus d travelling cost=rm25.83(eqvlnt 2 SGD11.11)...

if i pumpet at my neighbour,it'll cost 4 SGD23.31..so...i save SGD12.20...more thn 55% savings..most of d time dat i pumpet at JB,i'll sho oso...travelling cost+shopping roughly saves more thn 60% thn doing both of it in spore..medium sized bag i place on d tank, big camping bag on d pillion seat...everytym i shop,at least rm80...all d groceries i can put inside d bag..hahaha..think abt it if u guys wanna follow my way 2 cut cost :cool:

Actually it's only economical to pump in JB if you stay maybe CCK or Woodlands. If not you waste money travelling to woodlands. Another benefit of pumping in JB is that you can go Danga Bay to eat or change engine oil while you're chilling

i feel that if you are riding a big bike with a big fuel tank, than its worth going to jb to pump ur petrol... i live in tampines, but i always pump petrol once a week at jb, fastest total time it took me was 1.5hrs to just go jb, pump petrol and come back to spore.. save me almost 50% of my money pumping at jb... always pump the cheapest there which is the 95 grade.. plus nowadays at checkpoint have bio metric lane, much faster reach jb...

blurrrr.....................:thumb::gun:
