SHouldn't you keep your tank full often to prevent rusting? :curious:

Don't worry. Singaporeans sell off the car at the 3rd year.

MS,

my neighbor recently bot a 5 dr VW GTI.....

when i saw it , immediately reminded me of you.

is yours 3 dr or 5 dr?

I didn't buy the GTI. I bought the GT sport. The one with the 1.4L Twin charged engine. We only have the 5door version of that here in Singapore. Gotta look far ahead. I don't want to pay so much. I took the minimum loan amount by paying about 50% downpayment and paying only for 7 years. The maximum I will stretch. It was still an early 6 digit price tag then with COE prices hovering between 12~15K. The price now is a whopping 8K cheaper in the mid 90Ks when I went over there to check out the car a fortnight ago. Car prices feel like stock prices. Or rather, COE prices. Unfathomable. :faint:

Dear jB, the feedback you wanted.

Question: Good day Castrol Representative, I have been using Castrol Response Dot 4 for my motorcycle brakesystem. However, recently a myth surfaced, this brake fluid can be usedto clean stains left over by adhesive tapes on the painted fuel tank andbodywork. May I know if the Castrol Response Dot 4 can be applied on thepainted body panels of vehicle?

Reply: Hi, I have had some feedback that the Response DOT 4 doesn't instantly causepaintwork to shrivel up and fall off as you would expect a brake fluidto do - don't know if this is down to the modern paint types being moreresistant than the old cellulose, which would fall off at the meremention of brake fluid ! However - I would NEVER recommend you rub brake fluid on to any paintedsurface just in case. Regarding getting sticky deposits off - I personally always use WD40 -this is great for removing sticky deposits and doesn't seem to affectthe paint - I would however suggest that if you want to use this - try a small area out of the way to test that it doesn't have any adverse effect first.

Kind regards

Andy Griffin

Just for you nia JB!!!

White meter light is the toughest to shine and cannot use replacing bulb methods to chg it. So no point u need a T5 SM LED unless it's for the lcd display if u have any.

T3,T5,T10 just stands for the legging size to fit onto the PCB board.

You need to use snake light (white) and stick that to your meter cluster with connection tap onto headlight switch or the board itself, but highly not recommended for dummies to re-solder on board.

So you'll need snake light, roughly 12 series led per row by section.

Check your meter whether does it have printed films on the back and remove them using nail polish removal or sanding it.

If any point of time u screw up the calibration of the meters, i can set back for you with a cup of coffee *hints*

Let me know if this can get into you.

I can give you 2 coffee but I'm not intending to do any soldering onto my board :( Thats why went with the LED change. Right now I've changed already just that I am sourcing if there are any brighter and wider coverage ones in place of the snake lights.

For the Gun "Metal Gear Solid" Car, also looking for 5 point seat belts, anybody got kang tao? ;)

Ask Sim Lim. I also went to Simlim towers for electronic goods when I was doing vehicle modification for my previous employer. Cheap and abundant.
