Due to poor response for this Saturday (see list), the XJR MARCH Monthly Meet-up is postponed to 28th March 2009 with hope more members would be able to plan & come for the gathering.

 

With Liverpool playing Man Utd this Saturday evening, to avoid unhappy hubbies & wifes, gf & foes, i have cancelled the meet-up this week.

 

Those going Malacca do take note:

Please check your bike thoroughly.

Send for mototiam inspection if must.

Ensure that your:

brakes ~ hoses, brake pads,

lights ~ headlights

signals

tyre threads

tyre pressure

mountings & screws

among other things is tightened & checked

 

Dont forget to come for a light briefing on WEDNESDAY night, 18th March 2009. Venue will be updated soon & informed here & also via SMS.

Those not going Malacca is also welcome to drop by next Wednesday for dinner & mingling around with members.

Port Dickson? maybe we can save that for another trip later this year...

But lets try Malacca trip first...then we start thinking on Port Dickson, what do you think?

 

 

Juz a suggestion: Since Spanrry had been to Port Dickson before, and since PD is even further up north (Negri Sembilan), I am personally in favour of a PD trip... On a personal note, I would feel more assured having Spanrry as the Route Captain as he comes with the knowledge of more riding experience under his belt... He is in a better position due to the fact that he has already been to PD and knows his way around... I would also like to highlight that a Route Captain / Marshall must NOT carry a pillion as statistically, it places the rider and pillion at 100% (twice) more vulnerable to accidents.

 

In other words, the Captain leads, commands and controls the convoy... He has the final say... Those ferrying pillion, just follow.... As always, SAFETY FIRST....

On Sat 21 March 2009, XJR Club Singapore will be officially organising their first trip to Ulu Bendol, Seremban...

 

As it is an XJR trip for XJRers, we have officially appointed Mr Foo a.k.a Spanrry, as our Route Captain.... That means, he has full authority over the convoy and we will take instructions from him.... Happy125, another veteran, also on XJR1300, will be assigned the 'sweeper' role (route marshall), meaning he'll stay at the back to tighten the formation and convoy discipline.

 

As for the rest of us, we follow instructions, enjoy the trip, and ride safe!!! Safety 1st....

 

Ok, let's begin....

 

Meeting point: 0730hrs Gelang Patah Esso

 

0745hrs : Move off

 

0915hrs : 1st rest-point - Top-up petrol

 

1000hrs: Stopover at Ayer Keroh overhead restaurant

 

1100hrs: We would have travelled 256km and arrived in Seremban. Have late breakfast/ brunch - Spanrry mentions rojak, etc....

 

1300hrs: Ulu Bendol Waterfalls.... We will be playing with water and waterfalls until evening....

 

1730hrs: Visit the PD beach and take photos of the sunset

 

1900hrs: Have Kajang satay dinner

 

2000hrs: Move off for Singapore... Tentatively, we would like to book an apartment, and leave for Singapore the next morning....

 

2359hrs: HOME SWEET HOME

 

 

However, should there be adverse weather conditions, Plan B will be:
