The accident was reported in the papers today.

 

I saw one of the threads by him, the one where he pillioned his mum to North Thailand.

Seeing the pics with his mum, really made one sad.

Its a great loss to anyone who knows him.

I've Just Touched Down Singapore Yesterday(Sunday) Night at 2200hrs.

Switched my Thai SIM Card to Sgtel SIM Card.

Switched on my phone.

HP beeping like mad! Non-stop with countinuous SMSes. Total : About 100+ SMSes including unavailable call reminders service.

Almost All SMSes is with regards to Lawrence's Death & Some advice me to lead the Funeral Convoy.

If I were in town then, I'm sure you're gona expect me to lead the convoy of the Sgbikes.com & Slackriders.com bikers w my marshalls/response team all the way to Mandai Cremetorium. I did once for Oldfart-Uncle Dennis, but I'm just 12hrs too late. I'm sorry bro. Last few phrases we had on 26th Nov, when you told me to press the tyre pressure button up to 500kpa to ensure my tyre bead pop out & inline with the rim. Me: "U siao ar!!? Will not explode meh??? Can Meh?" You: "Rubbish. Sure can wan.., I tried before & it will pop out. If got WD40 better." Will remember you & your motivational pharases forever...

Without him, my Birthday Trail, Held on 28th Nov, Won't be possible.

 

On my Bdae, 26th Nov, the day I last met him, my front tyre got slow leak. He escorted me from my house to the nearest Petrol Kiosk in Bedok.

 

A friend who doesnt recognise tiredness when attending to one who needs help.

Pride of family dies in head-on collision

A man was killed in an accident on Thursday when the van he was driving collided head-on with a tipper lorry on Tanah Merah Coast Road at about 2.15pm.

A man was killed in an accident on Thursday when the van he was driving collided head-on with a tipper lorry on Tanah Merah Coast Road at about 2.15pm.

 

The deceased, Mr Lawrence Tan Wei Meng, 28, was on the way back to his office in a company van after completing an experiment at Changi Naval Base, said Mr Tan's brother. Mr Tan was a research officer at A*Star's Institute for Infocomm Research.

 

Mr Tan's brother described the deceased as a hardworking and driven person who used to fail his exams in primary and secondary school, but worked hard and eventually got an university degree.

 

The motorcycle enthusiast was due to get married next year to his girlfriend of five years, a nurse at the Changi General Hospital.

 

A police spokesman said investigations are ongoing. Those with information on the accident can call the traffic police hotline at 1800-547-1818.
