cdi cut off your fan? in your radiator? any bad point abt putting cdi? can anyone explain? will it harm your engine? and how to install? haha..

Doc, basically, it removes your rev limiter.

enables you to pick up faster abit, high end faster abit, in singapore, radiator

fans doesn't really applies. i've never seen b4 it switched on.

bad point abt putting cdi: fc increase by abit.

harm engine: yes, if u drag like => Kurarensu 60km/h i think the bike will spoil.

(esp on gear 1 and 2)

how to install: there are a total of 10 screws to be taken out.

Two screws : V winglet

Six screws: Fair for the head.

Two screws: underneath the head fairing.

There is a black stock cdi on the right hand side if you're facing your front

head. take out both of the pins and insert the aftermarket cdi. 1 pin is left

out. u can always cable tie it to prevent it from dangling ard.

cheers

Ash

st 21 area... try try only mah.. no much difference btwn stock n redbull lehz?? top speed like not much jus that feels more shiok when accelerate..:giddy:

Firstly..is your bike lightly..highly modded or stock?..the cdi will take away the rev limiter...so that you can rev much higher and you will have moderate gains in top speed..if you expect that by changing a cdi alone..your bike will be the King of the road..then you are mistaken...a cdi can only do so much...:thumb:

There is a reason why bike manufacturers install a rev limiter.

Bypassing the rev limiter means u are able to rev more than the max safety range on for bike.

Technically that means u can gain extra speed for the bal of the rpm range.

that means u will gain the extra speed only after passing that rev range and not throughout the range.

It also means that u bike will be subjected to extra amount of stress causing wear and tear at a faster rate then normal riding.

More wear and tear means more frequent oil changes and sooner engine overhauls.

U might as well get a bigger carb at the expesnse of fuel for more power at any rpm range.

Power on demand instantly.

Hi..you have to use the HRC program tuned cdi from API engineering for the Wave S/R..the redbull racing cdi applies only to Yamaha bikes also made by API engineering...:thumb:

thats for wave r/s ryte?

so wave i does it have its own programmed cdi? do u know?

thanks for the good advice
