Stop by TP for not having 'original' signal light

I was stopped by TP yesterday afternoon, and as per normal, the TP asked me for IC, license and insurance, then the conversation goes like this :

 

TP : Is this is the condition of the bike when you bought it?

Me : Yes

TP : The signal light is too small, I can tell you that it's not original

Me : Huh? What do you mean? This is the original signal lights for NSR SP

TP : Are you sure? You're not the first bike I caught for this case

Me : The fact is, my bike passes inspection, if the signal light is not original, the bike might not have passed inspection

TP : I know you pass inspection, but your light is too small. Look at mine, it's so big (pointing at his doa-leng-kong signal light, the super 4 kind)

Me : Wait, I'm confused, I thought all NSR SP comes with this kind of signal light

TP : Now u tell me 2 different versions. Ffirst, your light is original. Second, all NSR SP come with this kind of light

Me : Ok don't go into too technical details, I'm not a mechanic. So what do you want me to do now?

TP : Change to bigger lights. I will let you go this time.

Me : Ok thank you.

I think the TP fail English..Coz what he said means the same..Since its original light..Of course all NSR comes with that light..Your NSR is orininal mah got imitation NSR? If not that light..Then come with what light? Torchlight?

ha well, i dunno bout NSR sp signal lights.. but weird.. TP will do that.. either he's didnt get "it" last night with his wife, or obviously he's picking on sp riders.. hell.. ha anyway, great you survived it:cheer: act guai and be apologetic is the best way to survive any sh*t i think.

he ask mi y my exhuast so loud..

still say this morning he stop another 929 wif same exhuast wif mi..

then i ask wat type is his exhuast..

his reply is same lor.. arrow..

then i ask him wat system?? slip on or full system..

he err..

i told him that mine is full system..

he see here and there..

then ask mi that i sure no mod my exhaust..

i was thinking...

my one full system liao.. still mod wat??

ha hmm, by last post.. it feel as if emm.. the tp and rov arent in depth with the exhaust systems of the bike..

i am using non-legal exhaust but passes inspection with it...

P.S. The TP's are in the forum for your information, so be careful what you say, most TP's are just doing their jobs, but in every profession, there are bound to be the occasional prick here and there...

should have asked him for his name, rank, and division. tell him u will write him up for asking you to mod your signals as the signals are clearly original and he still ask u to change to bigger ones... doesn't he know that we are not supposed to change anything that is not recommended or come original out of the factory?

 

hee juz a joke, mite work though. i believe most officers would cringe once u ask for their particulars. perhaps can take a photo with his face and your signals showing clearly. gotta be sure yours are originals though hehehe...

i think that aftermarket signal light should be accepted as long as it's the yellow light and will blink when you signal.

SP signal light is small when stock. So if the tp question you again, just tell him it's stock and ask him to check with LTA if in doubt.

i dun think size of signal blub should be the main concern... the main concern should be whether the signal light light is being used anot.

if you signal light is big but never on also useless...
