hi sorry to use your thread TS.

 

i also starting to face the prob of faulty sat lock, easily popped open, used to be easily locked.

 

now i have to whack super hard, then sometimes when i go to my bike in the morning if will auto pop out.

 

is it the cable prob? wear and tear then lengthen is it?

what did you but there under your seat? there should be a hump on the seat to goes well to the tool kit area.. with nothing in that area, shoudn't have that problem.

got 1 noob qn: how to adjust time on my spec1> :cheeky:

 

press and hold the two buttons together at the same time. the time will start flashing.

 

then use the left and right button to adjust. left is for the hour, right for the min.

 

its in 24hrs timing.

 

after your done, just switch off your bike. then ure done :)

is it worth to buy a spec 1/2 to rebuild to a gd state for riding for 3 yrs or buying a newer spec 3 better ?

 

is up to you whether you prefer spec 1 or 3. i bought a spec 1 on last year june. i have to use it for at least 3 years as i need to clear my installment.

i had done lots of thing to my bike which include changed clutch plates and housing. all the coolant hoses(including the metal thing that connect the hoses), thermostat cover and now going to change magnetic coil. to me is still worth it. cause i know in the future will not have major problem.

after i change my brake pads, my front disc brake got some grinding sound. i tink itz between the disc brake and brake pad. is it normal? how to stop it coz itz quite irritating wen u turn to left or right, the sound getting louder. HELP !!

Its normal...happens occassionaly.

QUick and shoddy job by mech...go back and asked them reinstall again. Happens when they are lazy to open up the hydraulic reservoir when pushing back the piston of the caliper.

Ride till you feel the bike is kind off under power to move forward at after 5k rpm or kind off jerky. That is the best time to check if all four header are evenly hot..if one is cooler..about time to replace lah. Depending on riding style, normal plug can last till at least 25K.

Ride till you feel the bike is kind off under power to move forward at after 5k rpm or kind off jerky. That is the best time to check if all four header are evenly hot..if one is cooler..about time to replace lah. Depending on riding style, normal plug can last till at least 25K.

i dun mind spending n rebuilding the stuffs on a old spec. but i worry when is the engine itself. Accessories chain exhaust wear n tear is fine with me, but if engine got problem, then is a big issue for me. Other than $$ spend, it will post as an incovenince for me going to work and sch. maybe i get a spec 2 slightly newer spec to play safe.

I am always seen on the left lane hogging the road. :D

Hey guys was riding home ytd when i realised my rear brake was gone (brake lever can push all the way down).

 

Anyone knows how much the rear brake pump cost? Don't wanna get carrot as I've no choice but to go to the "famous" shop at bbatok.

engine basically wont have any problems.. newer might have lesser chance of it being abused.. but if previous owner dun take care.. it will be worse than an older s4..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Likely its the master pump faulty..can replace with a back pump kit set..about $35 or so but including workmanship..expect about $60 or so. Good luck.

Hey u! Bought L-shape tyre valve and gazzi suspension from u.

 

Haha cos I live near there and it's kinda dangerous riding further without brakes. :cool:

agree with you bro. to me, buying 2nd hand bike is just luck. sometimes can get good bike, sometimes can't. the most important thing is get the bike you like. even you need to spend lots of money to touch up, also will not heart pain. =)

Yah...Teemortee is right. If its header two from right, then its the spark plug that is in the second cyclinder head from right. Anyway..you don't change a single plug..u change them as a set of 4. What I wanted to tell you is that..when the one plug get tot hat syage of service..its time to change plugs.

OHHH.. okok.. rear brake pump, not too bad lah.. for me front much more impt. anyway different pple different riding style, for me i dun use much rear brakes.
