Mistake! Now cfm EO is below low marking when bike is upright at level ground, anyhow can help?

Engine quite noisy and hot when riding.

Recent thing done: top engine gasket, coolant, EO, spark plug, clutch plates.

You might want to check the tacho cable, maybe need to change the cable as its aged . if u don know how, send to bike shop let them do the work.

 

Eh.. went to planet to checkup. Ah chong said the meter spoil. He knock it a few times ok already, but prob comes back ocassionally. Says it happens to most spec 2, dunno why it happened to my spec 1. $400 to change

hi, u can ck when the speedometer is not function is the odometer working. see trip meter clock the distance. if odometer not working with speedometer, maybe ur speed sensor is spoilt. mine also intermttent. change sensor ok , cost 120.

my bike sound when idling is not constant at all. and also the rpm when idling will drop till less than 1 and the engine will dies off. irregards when the engine is cold or warm when i starts my bike. and its not responsive at all. tats why i went tuning for 3times. i was thinking its tuning problem. anyone noe wats wrong with tat?

I think they didn't sync all 4 carbs to be the same timing.. o.O

i went to 2different bike shop to do the tuning. however, its still the same. the last bike shop told me tat my carb may have some problem. i dun noe is there other reasons tat cause tis problem.

hi i have recently acquired a specIII vtec in india . I am trying to look for a maintenance manual for it . But its nowhere to be found pn the net . There is a manual on this forum http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/340491-Cb400-spec3-repair-manual but i dont have privileges to open this page can somebody please post it here ? There are no good mechs around where i live and have to get through this problem only through DIY . Please HELP !!

I checked with them. Believed not to be air in-take problem. They took out my carb and re tighten it. As for now, it seems to be alright now. They also not sure whats caused it. Now still observing.

Just came back from a long ride and found out that my spec 1 coil assembly rubber joints have melted and is leaking oil, was advised to change

the coil assembly as honda dont sell the rubber joints separately, gotta buy the whole thing. question i need to ask is: is there a better aftermarket coil for sale that has silicon joints which are more heat resistant than the OEM part from honda? and what is the cost?

Hey isa, you can try pass123's solution. I had the same problem so i had to change the speedo sensor @ $120

You are referring to fender eliminator bracket. You need to install this fender eliminator after you remove your stock mud guard. Most motor shops able to install the bracket but theres also few branded ones like Evotech and Hodaka. A simple bracket i was quoted around $40. But gentle reminder,this thing will not pass inspection. :-)
