hi bros of my s4 family, can i ask is it rationale to put a koso rx2n speedo meter on my cb400 vtec 1? been itching to get a digital speedo and of cus of the wow cool look. let me know what u think.

Q: Have a problem with tachometer. Im riding a 10 year old spec 1 which i just brought last month. When i start my bike, the tachometer is goes from 0 to 4k and stays there, regardless of whether i rev the bike or not. The bike idles and moves just as well as before.

 

Not sure if its critical(guessing its not) but would like to know whats likely the problem and/or the cost of repair.

You might want to check the tacho cable, maybe need to change the cable as its aged . if u don know how, send to bike shop let them do the work.

 

 

 

Q: how come EO reduces after recent servicing?

There is no leaking when I park my bike overnigh and I saw mech pour 3 new bottles of EO in when servicing.

Anyone happen this situation before?

how u see the oil level, did u park ur bike with main stand or upright? if not the reading not accu. must read it when ur bike is up right. Else send to shop let mech to chk 4 u.

Mistake! Now cfm EO is below low marking when bike is upright at level ground, anyhow can help?

Engine quite noisy and hot when riding.

Recent thing done: top engine gasket, coolant, EO, spark plug, clutch plates.

as in the left button when press not able to switch from mileage to trip.

Wa bro. The chip board is dam ex. Is around 700 plus. The whole meter sell around 1.1k plus. My fren got change before. Dam ex man.

There's no way to fix. The only solution is to change the chip board. I got a working chipboard for sale 300nego. Is original. Not those china made.

Ya what 54321 bro say are right. I got a fren accident and the chipboard spoil. He claim that chipboard 700 plus for spec 3. No kidding man. There's is no other way to fix it. The only solution is to change the chipboard. Hope this help u.

Yes. Is still the same meter. Only spec different bro.

for my case, the button broke off from the board. you can do you own soldering to put a new button on the board. but risk destroying it totally. i have been living with 1 side button not working for a long time. cant set the time now.

Last i did mine (both forks) at $80

 

just serviced both my forks @ $90

then change the fork clip, 2 for $16.

 

Total $106. o.O" the fork clip so ex. lol

Read somewhere in here that to try and lighly sand the contact point on the button. It's maybe due rust or something. Try that before changing the chip board.

you tuned your carb 3 times still cannot? then i think is you the problem liao. LOL

is it very serious? give more details.
