Every dollar is worth it's asset....u might want to get the most out of ur budget to buy as new as possible.. Based on ur budget... I think u only can get a spec 1 to 2(if lucky) with good condition.

Been a noob. May I know what's the biggest different between version s, v1 and v2?

in short , spec 1 and 2 looks the same except the meter needle colour.. spec 1 vtec open at 6750rpm spec2 at 6300rpm, cant rem the number but all u need to know is spec 2 traveling at 100km/h, vtec will open but not spec 1...

version s hear say has the best fc among all cb400... non vtec bike is running on 16 valve at all time... but vtec bike is running on 8 valve before vtec open.. vtec open means running on 16valve..

interested party , do PM me..

My answer is no it has "Nothing" to do with yr gear changing at all except for creating better supply of current and grounding ...

The other option for yr question is that if you would like more power or better performance is that you would need to install PC5 to yr bike and get yr bike Dynotune for better performance cos only PC can do tuning for each gear setting and better RPM setting for each gear changing ...

Got it. Thanks bro

Hi all~

Q:

Have this problem recently, when starting bike due long hours never start (overnight, 4hrs+ etc) will have problem starting, the RPM is very low at around 1 and sometimes below it and keep jumping up and down. But when I ride for 10-15mins the RPM will rise up to 1.2-1.3ish, and if I ride longer or weather is hot, it might rise to 2 RPM. Which i have to use the knob near the engine there to adjust the ideling RPM.

Anyone of you experience this before. I'm riding SPEC 3, Yoshi full system, could it be due to the tuning run liao, i never done anything bout that for 5 years already.

Thanks guys!

Just changed my spark plug too thut it would work but shortly after awhile the problem kicks in again.

I have overheating problem for quite sometime liao, pour in full coolant + water, the liquid boils finish in like a good 20-30mins ride. The alert light (left) under Green neutral light, always light up awhile when I start riding.

Change full coolant piping last year, and just did some serious servicing last week (change water pump, re-thread and insert 'heli' coil at engine case, couple of valves (int, spool, 8ct) at some neighbourhood bike tiam but problem still comes back.

One very impt question, any reliable bike tiam to go for such problems? Spent like 2k+ over this problem liao but still not fixed, damn sian.

Thanks for pointing in any directions!

Chk your air filter and radiator; if radiator is leaking or whatever

Chk your carburettor. I had my carb serviced badly once, and the rpm needle fluctuated like mad; returned the bike, had it re-serviced, no more problem

Another thing, don't mix coolant with water. Water causes the formation of rust within the coolant system.

Actually it does, usually when hot, the extractor fan will just on. Not sure which is before, but I'm sure when there's light the fan will on. Quite sometime never on liao though but after the recent servicing, it did on a few times then it died off totally.

In this case..if u had not changed or replaced ur thermostat..either replace it with a new one or take it off totally. It's located under ur left side under the tank where the coolant hoses meet in a housing (thermostat inside)..could be jammed or gone bad from previous rusting.

hmm so you mean the thermostat can be taken off completely and will not affect anything?

Well, I guess i just replace it with a new one to avoid all other trouble next time. Anyway many thanks for the guidance, brought me some light bout my bike.

Lastly, any bike shop to recommend ?

Hi Speckys.. I'm riding a spec 3 and recently changed my brake pads. Since then, the pads have been brushing my discs and causing a squeaky sound. I've gone to a few shops and they claim its normal. Recently only i changed my bearings, so thats not the issue. Or is it time to service the calipers?(7yr old bike) But if thats the case, why did i encounter this prob only after changing the pads?? pls advise, tks bros

[Q]Dear S4 riders who rides REVO,

I am contemplating between getting a new REVO or a 2nd hand spec 3.

I have read through the forum and found that there are numerous issues like water ingress into TPS, burnt electrical coil (aka alternator) and that double sweep low battery syndrome on the REVO.

Can any kind souls advice if these problems still exits in the newer batches of REVO?

I am an ex spec 2 rider and have never experience issues like that last time.

I understand that the REVO being FI now draws more current than the caberator versions but being a Honda, I don't really find it acceptable.

Especially the new REVO cost 18K plus OTR these days.

Please PM if not convenient to post here...Cheers to all in advance.

You can try Putting on heavier bar end weights. This would minimise the vibration transferred to your footrest. Some vibration between 5-6.8 k rpm is normal for spec 3.

Hi guys another quick question:

Q

Can a Yoshi tri-Oval full system from Spec III be transfered to a REVO?

Heard from multiple shops some say can some say cannot due to the header is different, anyone has put up a full system from previous version of Super4 for REVO before?

Thanks!
