Hi all, yesterday my bike experienced this problem. After I off engine and park my bike, I heard boiling sounds from the coolant area. After about 2-3 secs, liquid started splashing (yes, splash, not drip) out all over the engine oil area. Temp light did not light up, I checked the coolant, level was way above the "Upper" line (almost filled to the brim), colour was bluish. After 1 day (which is today), when I went to my bike there was no pool on the floor or anything, but my coolant level has dropped to the "upper" level indicator.

Oh and normally when I just turn the key, the fan will start blowing but after yesterday I never hear the fan turn on. Bike feels fairly hot on the shin/foot area when riding, but temp light did not light up.

Can anyone advise?? Is it because top up too much coolant?? Fan spoilt?

Have you tried changing buld first. Replace wiring is expensive I think. Ask Ah Pek for advise before you change the wires.

i jus changed to philips diamond. and i gt 1 more spare one. my bulbs filament no problem. but when my mechnics open up my headlight. e wires are all in a mess.. alot of cut and joints.. i think e previous owner install alot of diff lights and keep changing. hence i feel safer if its possible to change e wire harness and do the whole bike rewiring...

Have u tried other bike shop?...go asked around rather than just listen and thinking of changing the hardness...it's gonna cost u at least $380..at least I said. Regardless of how messy the wiring in ur headlamp is..there are only three wires to ur headlamp bulb socket. If I were u..I would check see if the plastic white socket to the bulb is B-B-Q by the hi-current needed by the H4 bulb.If so..go LAB just buy the socket and replace it by following the same three wires color (blue/white/green or brown I think). Even if its not teh socket..try following this three wires if they been join/cut before..it could jst be simply a loose or bad join.

ONE MORE THING...the problem u r having now can be casued by ur right or left assembly switch. If it's too old or cracked..have it replace..either cost about $120 the very most. MIC is about $85 only..can use..not bad.

Try approach some key duplication shops and ask ard, i wlll advice the one beside regina.

they maybe able to duplicate a key out from ur ignition. Is less complex compare to vtec 2 and above which has HISS.

However remember to bring along necessary documents to proof that you are the owner of the bike.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Most shop can do it but charges may varies due to rental overheads and grade of mechanics employed. Anyone can do the job but labor cost is intensive and requires at least a day overnite job (as much as $100..dat's why I DIY)...provided the parts are olehdee available. Becareful when buying the hardness urself..the cable connector points differ from model to model...make sure u know ur year model and engine NC number for reference.

Hi guys, i'm new to owning a bike and got some questions. i would like to DIY changing my headlight and meter light bulb to something that is brighter but i'm not sure what are the regulations/requirements to keep to so that it is still legal. anyone has any idea? i have checked the LTA website it only states that it is illegal if:

1) HID is illegal if it doesn't comes stock

2) wattage of replacement bulb is higher than stock or recommended

LTA regulation

i found that VICOM will check on luminous lux during inspection however i can't find a value to what is the cap.. i would be grateful if someone could enlighten me.

what i have in mind:

1) H4 55/60W 4500k halogen bulb for headlight (don't know what is the maximum luminous lux allowed)

2) T10 blue LED light for meter (coloured light for meter legal?)

hi bros out there encounter a problem today. Ride to work and when abt to ride back after work i start bike yet it cannot start. Gt headlight and meter light but cannot start, press the electric start button but no response (not even hearing and spark plug sound). push the red engine-off switch off and back on the `hiss` nv light up. After that did some 'tapping' on the "electric-start" and finally manage to start. Since the encounter every now and thn i start bike the problem will surface randomly. Riding a Spec 2 FX plate, problem bothering me coz i dun wan get stuck at work place or somewhere far and i cant start bike to ride back home.

The carbon brush in ur starter motor need to be replaced as it's worn. For the time being..if it can't start the next time..just sit on the bike and reserve in second gear and suddenly let go the clutch and hear a "whine" noise..then shift back to neutral and switch on the bike and start as normal.

since u mentioned u did some tapping on d switch den it manage to start, mayb ur starter switch problem liao lor.

or can also be ur starter carbon worn out liao. i doubt starter switch gt related to hiss. spec 2 onwards riders can clarify. i riding spec 1 btw.

aiyah.. bike above 5 yrs old sure gt problem one. must b patient with d bike. lol.
