No use. LED type helps with the rmp but not speedo side and fuel gauge. U want have to modify using strip LEDs..workmanship and material cost $130 to do.

[Q] 1. Anybody use ohlins HO142 rear shock? How do you adjust the preload?

I've turned the two rings till the highest teeth position. But the shock is still too soft. is there any way to bring down the top ring? I tried to turn it but it stays on the same position.

 

2. What is the idle screw looks like or what tool to use to adjust it? So I know what to look for.

Hi forum,

 

I need advises. My bike COE finishing soon.

 

I'm wondering if i should sell the bike before renewal or after renewal to fetch a better price as i'm changing to car.

 

 

COE ending DEC 2012

Renew COE: ~$1900

Plate: FV

Parts: All parts are stock except for Yoshimura exhaust using approved by LTA with cert. (I dunno what model when i purchased it came with previous owner)

 

Current machine price around $3000 if i'm not wrong..

3000 is yr 07 market value... ur 3000 is obtain from bikeshop i guess... if u visit garage sale, most vtec 2 cost 6k to 7k... basically not much of diff in terms of before or after renew coe... normally price a diff of 2k... if can sell before renew so u will not make a lost in renewal of insurance

Yes shop offer me that price. At 1st offered $2k then i ask him go f spider then he reoffer $3k.

 

I remember value is at least $5k for a less than 10-yr Spec 2.

 

Becoz of the offer that shop told me, i got confused..

np.. i also went to get a quote for my spec 2 this yr, the shop also quote me 3k... i find it too low, i told him he too low, i wan min 4k.. . then that person still tell me 4k too much...he renew coe also need 2k, plus my 3k, when he sell he don earn alot...bullshit...

Intending to change original sprocket n did x-ring soon...prices varies from $220 to $230 for the shops tat I asked so far...anyone noes anywhere cheaper for the set tat I mentioned?

i also had a hard time deciding whether to renew mine or not. finally renewed last month. might end up keeping this trusty bike for commute and get a big and 1st hand bike in the future for touring. hopefully Tiger 800XC =D

just realized you are quitting riding. perhaps its better to sell without renewing

Stock shud be abt $180 if i remembered correctly.

Jz checked their website.. Tat $120 is for did x-ring chain only bro $130 with installation.. Only the sprocket will set u back another $130...so buy both together will :faint:

Hi all. My spec 1 ignition must find the g spot to turn the key on and lock the handlerbar.

 

Does spraying wd 40 into the ignition works?
