Thank you for your reply Hair1 and I totally respect your answer, and you do have a point... Im pretty sure it's just for looks. Do you know what the name of the shop is that sells these things?

I think it's called "Shroud"

It supposed to be from scrambler 'side-cover'

i do not own a voltage stabilizer but what it actually does is storing current in it and releases it when you suddenly uses more current than what your battery can handle to stabilize the voltage. i have a voltmeter but so far(approx 9mths) i don't see my voltage change at all when i'm riding, it's always constant. the only time the voltage is different is when you compare between stationary (13.4~V) and while moving (12.4~V). i would say it's probably just an additional thing that dosen't have much benefit, at least for spec3. not too sure about revo cauz it uses EFI.

But i don't remember S4 having stabilizer in them.. It somehows redirects the unused voltage back to the battery itself. So if this is true, it would be quite good since it will extend the battery life?

"It somehows redirects the unused voltage back to the battery itself"...it does not do that. What it does is provide proper and efficient electrical loading to ur bike for performance wise..that's better power cranking during start and better sparking when ur magneto coil does not provide when at higher RPM for older bikes or car. All this works well if ur bike body resistance is low and can be done by doing proper grounding.

It does help extend battery life to a certain extend like 2 or so months more provided ur bike has good proper grounding..especially older bikes. his item has been called by many names like voltage stabilser, impedance stabilizer etc..by their manufacturer but in fact, it's actually a CCA booster unit (Cold Cranking Current - represent by "A" for amperes as in current). Basically they are made of assembly of "Super Capacitor"..and the better ones are the one that stores more current up to max of ur battery CCA itself.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

Hi guys, I am thinking about getting an s4 after I pass my 2a test, however I'm 6ft 3in and the bike is a bit small for me. Has anyone any experience modding the bike for tall rider, maybe custom tall seat or longer rear shocks? Any advice would be great, cheers
