mech said servcing/tuning carb $100 have to wait 3 hours. issit true?

 

yes of cos it takes tat long, or sometimes even longer, need to remove tank and take out carb, change jettings, clean/tune ur carb etc.

 

price wise different shops got different prices

What are tell tale signs that clutch plate are gonna be gone?

 

Unique motor tuning $30, then u can hear ur LV roar. be sure to take out silencer when tuning.

still haven't go inspection la bro. haven't take out silencer the sound alrdy orgasmic but planning to...

wah $30 nia? my mech said those shops charging $40 for tuning carb all like scammer one, never take out carb. lol

now after changing the endcan, throttle response a bit off, so sure must go tune alr. btw my mech also said my clutch plate wearing off alr, cos got "tak tak" sound

Try whack 2nd gear till 11 or 12krpm..and change to 3rd gear..Then if you see the rpm goes up suddenly to 12krpm or more for a second and drops back to 10-10.5Krpm then your clutch is going to be gone soon.

Hi all S4 bros .. I ride a spec3 and its turning 4yrs old this coming Oct.. Have some enquires to ask ..

 

Ytd when i riding my bike got 2 problem happen.. 1st, when my bike is on station, i open throttle until vtec open den after that engine die off, try to start a few time den it manage to start.. Second, got abit of burning smell after the engine die off...

 

And lately my rpm needle tend to fluctuate quite abit at idling speed which i set at abt 1000rpm there ... Does this mean that is time to service my carburetor alr ??

 

I haven service my carbutor and flush my coolant dunno for how long alreadi .. Battery also .. Thk got abt 1+ to 2 yrs alr ..

And last friday, when i go to change EO and spark plug, the mechanic release that inside the coolant reservoir there got rust stain, ask me muz flush if not that radiator will have problem ...

 

Does all the problems mention above are all related to all those things that i havent done yet ??

for better combustion, more fuel is need even out the higher volume of air, to balance the air/fuel ratio, which results better performance and FC

You mean rear braking got light but front braking no light? I think the front levers there got a sensor maybe stucked. Mine rear braking used to have that problem. I slowly adjust the sensor

handle bar clamp, they sell in pairs, i forget the price liao

nope, if faulty then change, the mech will check.

been riding for my s4 for 2yrs+ , never service my cub .

 

so should i service it ??? if there's nothing wrong ??

 

heard few old mech told me , dont open cub if there's nothing wrong.

 

afriad that open cub , than my 9yr old bike will start to have prob.
