I dont think Ronaldo will be that successful at Real as there will be alot of star player...and Kaka also just join...

Ronaldo is not happy that Real wanted to have join anouncement for him and KAKA...

1999 - 2001 RXZ

2003 - 2004 CB400 VTEC2

2004 - 2007 CB900RR

2007 - current GSXR 600 K7

United to make record bid for Villa

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is making a British record £45million bid for Valencia striker David Villa. Ferguson will take on Real Madrid for the signature of the Spanish star who will be sold by his cash-strapped club. Villa has been on the United manager’s radar for several years and now he has the money from the £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real to fight them for Villa. Ferguson has been given a £100m war chest – the whole £80m from the Ronaldo transfer plus £20m extra. Fergie’s priorities are a proven scorer like Villa and a right-wing replacement for the Portuguese star, Wigan’s Luis Antonio Valencia. Villa will definitely be sold by his club, with Real boasting they should land him this week. But Ferguson has already started his moves to beat them to it. Chelsea tried for Villa last week but were told he was going to Madrid. But Fergie won’t be put off and he has the financial muscle to back it up. The United chief thinks he can win the race for Villa if he can pitch the right case to him, backed up by cash. He is masterminding the move from his South of France holiday base.

Rummenigge: Man United have made Ribery bid

By Soccernet staff

June 16, 2009

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona have all made offers for France playmaker Franck Ribery

Ribery: A man in demand this summer

Ribery is also a target for big-spending Real Madrid but Rummenigge revealed three of their European rivals have stolen a march in their pursuit of the 26-year-old.

Asked if Madrid had made an offer, Rummenigge said: "No but other clubs have done. Chelsea have lodged a bid, as have Manchester United and Barcelona."

However, Rummenigge insisted the Bundesliga giants were determined to keep hold of Ribery and would not cash in on their prize asset despite all the high profile interest in the player.

"Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and his advisor Pedro Jimenez asked if we were willing to speak with them over a transfer but we rejected the chance and we have no intention of selling Ribery," the former Germany international told Bild.

"We are relaxed and proud that we have one of the best three players in the world under contract. The power lies with Bayern Munich."

He added: "I don't want to talk about sums of money because it is not in our interest. The amount is irrelevant."

"There is always going to be the perception that Bayern Munich are trying to push the price up and that there is a certain value at which we'll have to accept, but I'll say it again: we want to keep Ribery.

"A player has to respect his contract, in his case until 2011. He is on holiday now and then we want to have a successful season with Franck next year."

Earlier this year Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness slapped a £126m price tag on Ribery, in light of Manchester City's unsuccessful £100m offer to AC Milan for Kaka in January, saying: "If Kaka is meant to be worth €120m, then Franck Ribery is worth €150m."

Hoeness later said that £40m would not be enough to buy one of Ribery's legs and with Real Madrid having spent £56m on Kaka and agreeing a world-record £80m fee with Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo, Bayern consider £70m to be an achievable fee for the former Marseille player.

Manchester United to swoop for Brazilian Costa

June 16, 2009

Manchester United are preparing to sign Gremio starlet Douglas Costa as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Brazilian's agent.

United's network of scouts have been tracking the 18-year-old attacking midfielder for the last two years, but the Premier League champions are now ready to make a firm offer.

"They (Manchester United) have identified four or five possible replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo in the world, and Douglas is one of them," agent Cesar Bottega said.

"We have been contacted by several clubs some time ago, including Manchester (United), but by South American ones as well."

Douglas, who has received rave reviews in his homeland, has four years remaining on his contract with Gremio but reportedly has a £17.8m buyout clause.

The diminutive U20 international is seen as one of the biggest up-and-coming talents in Brazil - alongside Santos winger Neymar and Palmeiras striker Keirrison - and is also a free-kick specialist. Costa generally plays through the centre but can also play on the left.

Since an £80m fee was agreed with Real for Ronaldo, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped up his hunt for a suitable replacement. Wigan Athletic winger Antonia Valencia is also a target.

wes brown - good at right back, but better at centreback.. true, he doesnt have speed, but he can read games well..

raphael - has speed, but too inexperienced to deal with world class wingers

o'shea - only thing good abt him is his consistency, like dennis irwin.. and that is good enuf for me..

u're rite abt them cant cope with fast wingers like lennon, but wat abt gary neville? he wasnt the fastest rightback in the world.. but he made the rightback slot his own.. dennis irwin, tony adams, maldini, ferdinand, stam.. all wont ever beat a player like ronaldo, lennon for speed..

for defenders in general, i dont believe its all about speed.. having speed is good of coz, but being able to read games is a better skill for defenders..

true enough .. i believe defend does need maybe a new addition be it frm youth team or new signing ..

But man utd hasnt been threatening enough upfront .. not firepower .. for a attacking minded club .. we hasn't been good enough .. Which is why we need to sign attackers ..

However i still feel we shouldnt pay over the hill price for anyone .. we r still good enough ..
