if 100km/h i feel nothing, maybe too used to the bikes or my handlebar is gd.

Gud handlebars??? hmmm...

Btw wats the diff abt our stock bars and the other aftermarket handle bars? Material wise?? also wats the diff with the fatbar???

Hope someone could clear my doubt... thanks

totally agreed.. just came bac from Melaka International Motorsports Circuit..

had a very fun weekend.. althou i lowslided one time, but immediately picked up the bike and continue.. not many bikes(kups, sportsbike, roadbike) are so tough.. wacking 120++kph before turn 1 was definately fun.. plus the knee scraping corners..!!

regarding to highway, i feel that it's a way of training your patience and keeping the speed limit..

get reusable ones like K&N and BMC..

BMC offers high flow but it's more expensive..

Welcome hme bro... Would love to try track someday, maybe you could give some pointers on track? :cheeky:

Btw would like to check wif you guys, "sometimes when i snap throttle, i could hear a 'tick' sound from the engine and sometimes the engine dies off seems weird" any comments guys?

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all the advice. Will keep you all posted.

No prob bro... :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Stock bars are super highly mass produced.. some quality is certainly missing.. nevertheless it's still a good bar..

aftermarket bars are made of better materials(maybe), assorted colours for you to choose, different height, bends and sweep for you to choose for your preference.. some bars are made for some specfic purposes like jumps, stunts, light weight, less vibrations, etc etc...

there are 3 sizes of bars in the market, 7/8", 1 1/8"(fat bar) and 1 3/8"(easton bars).. the thickness of the bar at the clamps are crucial as it may flex and if not strong, will snap or break when you land from a jump, wheelie or endo..

some pointers a bit maybe.. but there are more skilled riders out there.. our own Raptor is one..

one of the pointers you must bear in mind is, you must be ready to fall..

that snap sound should be from your flywheel..

never blip the throttle suddenly.. is like suddenly if i "turn" your heart rate to 200 or 300 beats per min from avg 70 per min, will you faint??

Thats interesting, when u state the sizes 7/8" for and example. Is that the length or is that something else? Any recommended bars u could add along?

Ouh... ok... point noted... thanks bro...

The sizes are the diameter of the bar at the clamp..

7/8" are non tapered, and same diameter thru out, just like stock k5 bar, or Super4 bars..

1 1/8" bars are of that thickness at the clamp area, but tapered to 7/8" at the ends to fit in your handgrips, signal switch and brake/clutch..

Stick to ProTaper and Renthal.. Buy online for more choices and cheaper price, min 2 bars to maximize shipping costs.. Eg. Local shop selling at abt $250 for ProTaper.. 2 bars of your choice of bend costs less than $400 shipped..

better change ur tires fast dude, raining nowadays.

tires as mentioned by bitingpoint, bt90 n diablo are moderate priced, pilot power n power 1 ex a bit but worth the money, if budget then get those moderate price ones rather than running on bald tires

Tires is the only contact between you and the road so get it change fast.

After many months of oogling, saving and hard work, finally managed to get myself a second hand drz today!

Bike was damn fun!!!

Only compain i had was of the drz riders on the road that don't seem very friendly. Had a bad experience on the highway today.

To the bro who was riding the white DRZ towards AMK : no offense bro, but i was trying to change lane but you didn't give way, so i sped up a little bit more so i could change lane.

There's no need for you to come roaring past me and give me a f u look before speeding away and leaving me confused amist your dust.

Cheers to all the drz community.

wah, everibodi buying racing suit already. getting ready for next yr changi track ah?

Its pointless when Changi track is ready and the rider is not ready.

To be a terror in Changi when the time comes... the experience of racing should start now. Learning how to read the corners makes one a fast rider... and the fastest way to learn is in a race when everyone is looking for the fastest line and you can learn from them.

Track day riding does not prepare one for the races... coz there is no competitive edge to push you to overcome your fear. Track day riding allows you to come into the pits and smoke a ciggie when you scare the crap out of yourself in one of the corners.

In a race... you press on... there's no stopping till you see the checkered flag.

spoken from an experience man himself. :bow:i totally agree wif u bro. :cheer:that's what differentiate the man and boys. but really, this sport requires commitment of both time and money..........which sadly to say, i dun hv either. it will be nice if this happens 10 yrs ago.......:weep: hehehe...maybe can signup as SBF pit crew....:faint:
