Need sidecar for wedding photoshoot? PM me

Hi all

I found this thread really mesmerising...didn't know so many people know so much about so many Rebel 450 still in Singapore, have always thought they all extinct already

So I bought this Rebel 250 just like the one in the picture except for the battery cover; mine's not so nice 'cos the exhaust header pipes all blackened already; was quoted $600 for a new full set exhausts {almost choked}

Even if their owners wanted to sell I'll bet the Rebel 450 won't cost less than $5000 I think; perhaps even $8000 'cos no more already. I kind of know the feeling; I'm trying to sell my Magna v45, it's quite rare although by no means as rare as the Rebel 450, and it's only a 50-50 chance of selling whereas to be entirely honest, I didn't have this feeling selling off my other bikes eg Gilera Runner, CBX 125 etc

I've tried looking for some rare bikes to keep but somehow the cost of maintenance (keeping them in pristine condition) always end up against the grain for me. It'll be a treat though if I can get the Rebel 450 for $3k - wow! Dreaming lah...

last i heard, there are 4 still OTR.

2 in riding condition.

The only reason why I'm not laughing with you is that I prefer laughing at you.

I used to ride one Rebel 250cc, 2 tone maroon and silver, FN7245, sold to an ah pek. Wonder how is it now? Only dislike is its too low, same height as drivers in sedan at the lights, not very safe with so many SUVs, Vans, trucks nowadays.

No joke!! I only heard got this one previously laid-up (Jurong East area) and another in Desker Road (in very good running condition) and one more that nobody seems to know where it is except that it exists

Anyway I bought one!!! What I can say is: it has the best sound next to my 250 and 750. The riding posture is really nostalgic, higher than Steed but only slightly. Remained as a single seater.

All said, this is my last bike. I now have the Rebel 250, 450 and Magna V45 (750) so I can say these are all the bikes I ever wanted. Won't be getting any more (trying to ride 3 bikes with only 1 butt is rather taxing)

Strange but permit me to comment.

Conversely I find bikes that have a low seat height to be safer than those very high up because I can put both feet firmly on the ground in an emergency and let go the bike. Actually from experience I have avoided a few spills cos I managed to regain control this way

I love the Rebel 250 yeah! The 450 has a higher seat height than the 250 and the Magna 750 as such I use it rather sparingly (more to run it in order to prevent the battery draining) and for the fun of riding it of course. But not so much for serious trips and certainly not for going to work!!

If you go to FJT at rowell rd, the staff there has a Rebel 450.
