I am not a 06 rs125 owner nor rider but I used to own a rs125 03 model n currently one of the bikes I own is a new RS250GP1 model. What exactly u want to know? Engine, it is the same with 03, 05 models. Onli the fairings n the digital speedo is not the same.

 

Aprilia RS125 .......

 

can take corners better than most other models.

can brake faster thus achieving a shorter braking distance

can corner better cause of the design of the suspension piviots

can cut through wind better due to the aero-dynamic design in a wind tunnel

can go better top speeds compared to other same cc stock bikes

can catch more attention cause the design is real damn nice looking

can go at 170km/h n the handle still does not shake... very stable.

 

Consumes about 1 litre of petrol every 25km travelledl

petrol tank is 14 litres including 3.6 litre reserve

tyre size is 110/70 front n 150/60 rear

tyre pressure is about 200psi front, 220psi rear

chain size is 520

dry weight is about 120kg, wet is about 140kg

stock bike top speed is about 165km/h on the actual speed (Aprilia speedo is very accurate. Kawa meter 100 = aprilia 80 )

 

Spark plug needs to be changed every month or 3000km whichever comes 1st

Gear oil needs to be changed every mth or 2000km, whichever comes 1st

carbrator needs to be serviced every 5000km or 3 mths, whichever comes 1st

Exhaust valve needs to be cleaned every mth or 2000km, whichever comes 1st

Brake pads usually will last u about 8000km but depend on the brand u use n how u use it

2T which is a lubricant for 2 stroke engines, u need to use a good brand like motul 710 or Sikolene or Maxima. These 2T dont come below $15 each n per 5 tank of petrol, u need to top up a litre of 2T (this varies to different riding habbit also)

Claimed horse power is 33bhp but i duno if at crank or at wheel

 

 

Bad points about the bike :

 

U have to really care of the maintenance schedule of this bike. Lack of maintenance will speed up the wear n tear of the engine parts.

U have to force urself to cover ur bike whenever u park it so that next morning u wont see parts missing or bike scratched.

U have to learn to wait 3mins after u start engine for the engine to warm up then u can move off so as to minimise engine wear n tear.

U have to endure other ppl overtaking u when u are at complete stop cause this bike has very bad pick-up.

U have to learn to answer ppl when they say that u have a very nice bike n blah..blah..b;ah/....

U have to learn to get used to the high insurrance premium of Aprilia.

U have to learn to try not to corner so low because the bike will usually bend for u n make u look like a pro at corners.

U have to learn to top-up 2T which is a necessary item for 2stroke engines.
