today, this genius here(me) decided to fiddle with my carb again. Long story short, i f**ked up my pilot jet so bad that the screw is totally stripped. so now the f**king jet is stuck and i cant remove it. To make things worse, my attempts at trying to remove the jet also f**ked up the jet hole so now my bike is running like s**t. And to make things even worse, i ran out of cigarettes so there was nothing to help me keep my cool. Spent 3 f**king hours trying to remove the f**king jet. But its still f**king stuck.

So i did some googling and it seems the tool i need is a screw extractor. Anyone has any experience with this tool or know where i can get it. Im gona check out my nearby hardware store tmrw bt i doubt they will have it. will appreciate any leads.

P.S. i apologize for the excessive expletives but my hands are sore from all the screwing and im just so damn pissed at myself for being a dumbass, so i just need to let some steam off.

can u even crank? sounds like u gotta dead batt... either buy a new batt n install it urself or take ur old batt out n charge it at a bikeshop, or tow ur bike over to a shop.... 1st two options r cheaper...

As I texted him earlier it's most likely the fuse. Couple bucks will do the trick.

There is a hardware shop in Marsiling that has every mechanical hardware tool that you can think of.. And they're cheap..

It's near an indian temple.. it's called David Hardware if I'm not wrong..

You can give that place a try..

No light, no horn.. No battery..

Is your rectifier charging properly? Are you leads connected properly?

Do you have a voltage stabiliser on your vehicle?

Or.. you could simply have a blown fuse.. There are spare fuses on your bike itself..

Swap them and get a replacement spare.. Check your bike for shorting the next chance you get..

And if your bike has no battery power, just go buy a darned battery and fit it in yourself..

Save on the tow and labour..

I wana share my experience on the situation i had a couple of days ago. For those who dont know, i was messing around with my carb when i accidentally destroyed my pilot jet. The screw head was mangled due to over tightening, so the jet was stuck. My attempts at removing it caused the problem to be worse, almost near the point where it might have been beyond repair.

So what i did was to first google. It led me to figure out that i needed the following tools.

1)Screw Extractor

2)Tap Wrench

How this tool works is it has a reverse screw thread, and the tip is like a drill bit. Meaning to tighten, u turn anti clockwise. So what it does is it drills onto the spoilt screw, latches onto it and with the anticlockwise motion, unscrews it.

Once i had this done, what i did was to take a new pilot jet and ever so slowly screw it back into the hole. That was when i found out that the thread was spoilt too and i was unable to screw the pilot jet in. So the next tool i used was this.

Screw Tap

Its called a screw tap and what it does is basically rethread the damaged threads. Its made of a a very hard metal so the thread actually cuts through the spoilt threads, so ur left with brand new threads. For this tool, the size is important. FYI the pilot jet hole uses a 5mm screw.

So after rethreading the hole, i tried the screw again and voila, it goes it flawlessly. Bt its still not over. Due to all the work on it, theres alot of metal filings so what i did was get a can of pressuried air to blow through it, and i was actually surprised at how much stuff came out of the hole.

Now my carb is working fine, and along with that, i learned alot of things and gained alot of experience. Im posting this to share what i learned, and hope others can learn from the mistakes i did.

1)Most importantly, i learned that theres a right tool for everything, and using the wrong tools will just make ur situation worse. As far as precision instruments are concerned, try not to improvise. My improvisations to get the screw out almost destroyed my 170GBP carb.(things i did included hammering the jet with a screwdriver to try and get the screwdriver to stick into the jet. Really nt a good idea) Even my dad, whos a totally DIY kinda guy, didnt noe such a tool(screw remover) existed.

2) Be gentle. Theres no need to overtighten any screws. Because of this incident, im considering getting a torque wrench to make sure i dun get myself into sticky situations again.

3) Google is ur best friend. No matter what problems u might be facing, chances are someone else already went through it. My google search turned up several solutions to my problems

So yeah. Learn from my mistake. Especially now since so many people are getting into the DIY craze. Its good to try things out. But make sure u know what you are doing. And especially to the guys who are new to DIY, just be extra careful every step of the way and make sure not to damage anything. Make a point to remember important things, for example, the 2T tube. Its really very easy to forget to plug this tiny tube back into ur carb after u take it out. So i hope this story dosent deter the new guys from DIY-ing. Just be careful and have fun =)

walao bro i tell u alr. Dun waste time with the carb first before u get a derestricted pipe. No point. With just a change of pipe u can feel a s**tload of difference alr, enough to keep u happy for a couple of months before u feel u need more power. Then can buy carb.
