I really hope you have a good chat with your manufacturer. With cases of screws coming loose, and heelguards flying off, these rearsets

are hardly upholding your claims that they're as good as the top end 'branded' rearsets such as Gilles etc. I've yet to hear of such a case from them.

Maybe it was the mechanic who fixed the rearsets is to blame, but that just looks bad on the shop you've chosen to install your products. In any case,

Good luck!

There are lightweight OZ rims available at Motivation. About $2200 to $2400 when i last enquired. You, being a dealer, of course will be entitled to a better price than us humble consumers. :)

I will have a chat with my manufacturer but def NOT about the products.its doing fine..regarding the screws coming loose and heel guards (GUARDS????) flying unless it happens to YOU using my products then u might have the right to post what ever yr views are..strangely have u notice none of the owners who had this issue never actually complained after the initial issue is solved because they understand how that issue came about and unless they come back a 2nd time with the same repeated issues, then you can belittled these products.u stated heelguards.as far as i know its only ONE and that buyer and me knows the whole issue,do you? Im still upholding my claims that my rearsets are as good as the other rearsets with an unbeatable value... I have 20 sets running around now with 4 of those pacing around in PG track with speed much higher then what the normal riders do on road...do you really think these guys will risk their bikes and life if screws keeping popping out and heelguards flying about?Yes I claimed my products are as good as the ones that cost more.... I can stake this claims because I have use rearsets that cost $1,200 and these are the TOP END BRANDED rearsets.how many topend branded rearsets have u used and test? U mention Gilles and u have yet to hear such cases from them? are u working in the Gilles complain dept or are u the local Aprilia consultant? it seems to me u think u are so maybe u have numbers in hand..could u tell me how many RS125 riders are using Gilles rearsets here? and how many registered RS125s are there on the road? or are u trying to be Mr Know All?

And now again u having a go at the mechanic and the workshop, remember the 1st time u posted a remark on my facebook and i PM u to delete it? seems to me how soon u tend to forget....goodluck? i dont need that... this is a proven shop that been in motorsports even before u learn how to pronounce mama. as a friend in my friends list (I've never even seen u in my life) i advised u to delete the post to prevent u from a backlash but it seems from previous posting in SBF till now u been giving negative posting about products and other workshops,I actually ignored whatever u been posting previously and treated it as ridiculously ridiculous..MR Know All who knows nothing .maybe the newbies can fall for it since this the only forum they can try get information from, also Im posting this because I had couple of sms from forumers here abt this post n was encourage to reply as they see it as damaging my reputation, I can ignore yer post as with yer other previous post as i deem it immatured.

can u imagine if Ah Seng sees the post about u telling others not to get his carbs as it freaking old n expensive... expensive is not for u to say..its between buyer and seller,if the buyer agrees to a price,it not for u as an outsider to get involve... or is it maybe u can get them to buy it from u thru yer MO?

yes im a dealer.and doesnt take a rocket sciencetist to know dealers have a dealers price...when i advertised the Gianelli exhaust at an offer of $580u stated its no big deal n its the norm...strangely I have sold quite a number n I found out that its was lower than the other workshop quote which got me thinking ..what the heck u up to?

so as a dealer, i believe when we order from oversea, they do give a certain discount to a minimun order... is 1000 pounds the minimum orders to get a discount? so i do believe u will be extending that discount to all those in yer mass order?

the forum is a free area to speak yer mind and ask question no matter how silly and also once awhile we see ppl like u puting everyone down so u stay high n mighty but then again to be high n mighty ,u need credentials... i wonder whats yours?

this is the 1 n only post i will take time off to bother abt yer posting as I be thinking more about how to get the best deals for riders ...

Hi Larry,

I hope you can take some time to calm down. We don't know each other personally, this is an online forum after all. :)

But that doesn't give me the right to post ANYTHING. I post what I think is right, which is occasionally poking fun and naughty. :)

But in all seriousness, when I do reply to your posts, I am serious. I'm not a businessman here to make money. Just a normal consumer.

So forgive me if I am skeptical and analytical about many things.

If you're ever free, we can meet up for outings and discuss things. And honestly, I have no ill intention when i wished you good luck.

I'd love to say more, but not now. Make peace, not war mate. I'm younger than you, but not that young to let this degenerate into a war of words.

Chill out. Cheers

Any chaps still interested in coming for the outing please contact Priller07.

My hp is abit cock up at the moment, battery goes flat suddenly, so please do take note of Priller's number!

Thanks for the vote of confidene Nge. :)

Regarding the quick release fasteners, any idea of the prices? Lazy to email them if you know it! Lawrence would be very keen. Just got his CF fairings installed. :)

:)

There are many types & sizes. Depend on the quantity you want. If i remember correctly, it is about $6~8 per set.(Nut & Clip) Very expensive to me. If quantity is sufficient, it can down to $5~6 per set.

You guys should get your Dzus fasteners from Gripwell if you are on a budget and can wait. They told me they don't have stock for the sizes I wanted and would have to wait.

I was in a hurry to get mine so ordered them direct from US. Cost me almost $200 for 14 sets so it's about $14 per set.

If you can get them locally that would be much better on your wallet.

But as Larry has said, the price is agreed between the seller and buyer. If the buyer is willing to pay a higher price, then it is not for anyone else not involved to comment. I was willing to pay a higher price for convenience, so don't anybody tell me I got ripped off on my Dzus fasteners. If I'm willing to spend $20 per fastener set, then I will cos it is my money. OK? :D

We are end consumers and we like things cheap. For those who aren't working, you may never understand money. For those who are working, imagine your boss telling you one day, "Eh, from now on, you work the same number of hours, do the same work, but I pay you a fraction of your salary, ok?" Same thing we dealers, squeeze them long enough, and we'll put them out of business, letting other pple take over, who may not charge as low, and may not be as nice. Like how WEDA used to sell Aprilia valves for S$160, then they increased the prices progressively until valves cost S$280 apiece today. Do you want people like that to dominate the market? Why do you think we mass order from PJME so often?

Dealers spend a lot of time and effort cutting deals with manufacturers and other merchants. The profit margin is the reward for their efforts.

In life, we win some, we lose some. If you only can think of yourself on the gaining end all the time, put yourself in the shoes of the losing end once in a while.

Mighty proud I replaced my gear shift lever today, took an hour give or take to assemble the tools and removing rust but feeling satisfied!

Tim, that's a good start!

Get a feel of the mechanical before diving into the deep end, that being a full overhaul, of course... IN DUE TIME

In the meantime, just a tip on de-rusting:

Use the shiny side of aluminum foil to scrub rust out. This leaves a layer of aluminum over whatever rusts, and the aluminum will react with air to form aluminum oxide, coating the object and keeping it rust-free for longer.

It will eventually rust again, but just not as soon as not using aluminum.

You're welcome. 1 x Big Mac, thanks.

Double cheeseburger do?

I try not to let my curiosity get on top of my head, not yet. I'm counting on the DIY to fix a motion picture memory on how to remove and more importantly place them back.

The rust is really bad on my weathered vehicle, makes me feel like an owner leaving his pet ungroomed. I had problems with a rusted welsher as I took my gear shift lever apart, but WD40 did the job.

I'm glad my new place will soon have shelter.

On a side note, Who's RS125 is it parked at clementi west ave 2?
