Oh yeah! hehehe! I was just comparing piston price to piston price from a shop's retail price to the end consumer.

Maybe you can get a KR150 piston for S$15 online? Compared to an Aprilia piston for S$240 online?

Oi guys!! How? Any takers for the Specialized S-Works + Maclaren road bike?!?!? It looks awesome man! Pre-order together and save on shipping!

! Looks awesome really, I would really get this if I had too much cash to get rid of. You know, just to challenge myself, I'm stationed at Lim Chu Kang, so I see Cyclists all the time. I'm in for the challenge, but I guess I could start with something cheaper say $200. Yours is a passion I must say, for now let's just say I'm pleased with my piyo piyo

There be a bunch of 125 sportsbike guys pacing around PG this Sunday, almost half of them 1st time on track..

Spoke to a RS125 rider yesterday n was told that majority believe they need full race gears to play.

The minimum track gears PG allow is riding jacket, jeans, industrial boots, full face n gloves, that's a cheap starter to taste circuit riding. I'll be there as usual testing again n do hope to see at least couple RS125 n not been overwhelmed by other 125 sportsbike.

Btw it's RM50 per hour n that's a frickking bargain compared to just about any other circuits.

Oh btw stay tuned, Another bling bling function coming up, trying to work out an Ohlins steering damper for RS125.I probably be testing that out, it be top mounted as I believe that's where everyone wants it to be n also be working n testing on a prototype Ohlins front fork cartridge kit..

That's really interesting Larry. I am one of the many who assumed minimum track gears included a full one-piece or two-piece suit. Hmm guess I've no gear-related excuse now to delay hitting the track!

Would you still be able to arrange transport up to PG? I couldn't be bothered riding up and back TBH. :D I'd be interested in taking a weekday off and tracking with minimum traffic around.

I will join in, and I also want the Brembo 07GR77SA brake pads and Newfren's Carbon Racing Clutch Kit from the website too.

By the way, I found the Metrakit bike model for the radiator we are looking for.

It's the same radiator used in the Metrakit Mini GP XL and the XL80R (Part No. 810K0502). Haven't found the price yet. If it is reasonable, do you want a piece?

I guess i'll be officially starting another MO then. =D

Hey riders,

Want to build up your fitness for circuit racing? Or shed a few pounds to gain a bit more speed? Or simply learn to get a better feel on 2 wheels?

Now you can own a little piece of Maclaren with this gorgeous bike http://www.gizmag.com/specialized-and-mclaren-create-road-bike/18232/

At £5000, its still much cheaper than the bicycles that I own... Plus it looks gorgeous. Look at all that carbon fibre. Mmmm... Anyone wants to pre-order it with me? We can save on shipping.

And can go Coastal Road for training together too. Or Lim Chu Kang, or Thomson, whatever cooks your noodle. No training ground is too far for me.

Takers?

OMG WTF:eek: This thing costs as much as our Aprilias.

I emailed the guy and he actually quoted me 40 euros to ship only ONE piston. 5 pistons are 50 euros. I assume this is by express mail. When i emailed back asking for cheaper shipping, he said he can try but shipping will be long and about 15 to 25 days. I think that's the 20 euros shipping.

Looks good, and it'll be better if more people join in. Again, good find!

Anyway i emailed them too, and they confirmed that its the original pistons which came with the Rotax 122 engines. And yeah, shipping is 50EUR for 5 pistons, thats what he quoted me. So if we can get 5 ppl, it will be a steal at 120EUR per piston. Can bring down to WEDA set up table infront and lelong :p

BTW A DESPERATE CRY FOR HELP HERE. ANYONE HAVE A SPARE PISTON CIRCLIP FOR WISECO/WOSSNER PISTON PLS TELL ME. Its the only thing standing in the way frm me getting my bike running now. If ur wondering why i need the circlip, well, lets just say that when ur time comes to DIY a top overhaul, u will find out that there is a s**tload of things that can go wrong/be done wrong. Btw the original piston circlips are too thick and cant fit into the wiseco piston that i have. So anyone who can help, i will be very grateful =D

Bro, though its nt the minimum requirement, i'd recommend that u go in proper full suit. Or at the very least a padded jacket and padded pants. Weekdays are the best if ur a newbie and want to test the track. I rmb the first time i went on a Tuesday(iirc) and there was NO ONE. Me n my 2 other friends were the only people at the track. It was great man. No pressure at all. Can slowly take ur time to learn the track and pick lines. Its also cheaper if im nt wrng, 30RM i think.

Vyrus have a full bling bling leathers..:p i strongly agree to have full leather (not even a 2 piece as it can split at the waist in a slide )...but for the 1st timer,i normally say try it out,see if u enjoy circuit riding,if yes then go get a suit because i seen many rushing out get a suit and then stop after the 1st time, wasting $$$ on the gears they bought.I have 2 classic case and their leathers are hanging in my shop :D.. riding jacket have CE armours at all pressure points except jeans which i recommend putting on a knee pad(skateboard ones quite ideal) in an earlier post.or u can borrow a friend's suit but please remember to return it,also seen couple of classic cases.

but once u have clocked up hours n hours of weekday track riding, its best to try the official trackday..can pick up many pointers n exp overtaking others n others overtaking u...yer morale will def be boosted if u get to overtake a big bike in the corners n its possible,we have very high cornering speed n in some corners, our 125 speed is much faster then the big bikes.eg T7,our speed can go as high as 148km before flicking it into T8,i cant even do that speed with my Daytona and i assure yer lap times will be better as theres always riders in front to chase to up yer ante.

weekdays are best for 1st time but u MUST have at least a bubby with u,learn the track layout n whistle as u ride, but to improve further u need riders in front to inspire u to close the gap.n remember the faster u go,the lines changes as the tarmac grows narrower

if cant make it on a weekday, pick non trackdays sunday like this sunday, few riders but not crazy as trackdays ... official trackdays are every fortnight.

charges are

weekdays RM35 / hour

weekends RM 50 / hour

official trackdays

9am-10am RM50

10am-1pm RM 80 or 9am -1pm RM 100

It looks like your bikey! Was around 8am normal reporting time for stay outs. As for the big bore kit, let's just say I can tell when the ah neh comes in.

Thanks guys. Yea I guess if I'm gearing up with an armoured jacket and jeans potting around public roads at legal speeds, I really should up the protection for the track.

I get butterflies in my tummy everytime I think about tracking. I really need to pull the trigger on a suit and get the bike and I transported to PG. :) Then hopefully I can edit my siggie like all you champions with siggies with lean photos :D

Vyruz,

Actually you can go in minimal protection, just that you should take it easy and make the track session more of an orientation than an all out rev-fest. After you've decided that you'd like to hit the race circuit more often, then you can start shopping around for a suit.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

A very big thank you to Mark who notice my rear tire was flat. Went to petrol station and realize there is only 50plus kpa of pressure left in my tire.

Does anybody knows the recommend front and rear tire pressure for BT090? And does 37 motoring offer the service of checking for leakage and mending them?

Again, thank you Mark!

Well it depends on personal preferences actually. Having less air gives you more contact with the ground and vice versa.

I know Viknesh personally runs a 205 front, 200 back which he claims gives sharper turning. I never thought the pressure should be reversed. To each his own, I personally run a 29 front and 31 back to accommodate the occasional pillion. When I'm going out with Glenn I do a 26 29.

I had a flat not too long back and I was fish tailing all the time, just a symptom to take note and when I discovered it the tire was so badly worn from over exposure it was in my good interest to change a new set.

Chris, you should check your tire pressures before you set out the

next time. My tires ran flat in 4 hours, not sure if ah Seng does it. But HKL does, but you know the thing with HKL.

Hi Aprilia Riders,

I just got my rs125 recently, and now I am facing a problem. When the problem occurs, it feels like there isnt enough power even if I push the whole of the first gear. And also when I hit 100km/h at either gear 4/5, I can feel that the speed starts decreasing. But this problem is on and off one. Today my friend was driving behind me and he saw sparks coming out of my exhaust pipe?!

Does anyone here face the same problem before and what could be the problem?

i run 180, 200. But strictly no pillioning. When i need to pillion i will always drop by petrol station first and pump the rear up to 230.
