I can't see anything even slightly offensive anywhere in your post.

6 months still ok I guess. Mine were more than 18 months old. I was really pissed off.

My front is early 2010 I think, my rear is end 2010. Not really happy about the front when I specially requested for new tyres way beforehand. The first front was mid 2009. What the hell?! Lucky I checked!

There are no such things as apples. The Matrix only tells you there is.

On the contrary, I will be trying to squeeze in as many track sessions as possible.

I'm not around next Tue. Wed or Thurs ok for you?

Awesome. I’ve got the same mindset. Would love to average once a month at PG between now and year end.

Thurs 30 June is good with me. Towing up as usual and hitching a ride with the towers? I’m down with this. I picture myself sleeping in the back with the bikes listening to some music. First class all the way

Lawrence, I’ve just started reading a book that just SCREAMS the Lawrence DIY philosophy. It’s entitled “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”. It’s a classic book (1974 first publication) but still gets published due to its popularity. Got it brand new off eBay S$20 shipped. It’s going to be a great read.

so now u have yr answers , im surprised actually at the cost and yes, ill assure them u be good for the 2010 best supersports bike... and before u return to NZ... u gotta at least for once burn some rubber in SIC with yer "Prillia (and the Kwacker too) oh ya what about being on a Supermoto bike ? in SIC go kart track?

I couldn't believe it when my wife told me she's going to Batam with her friends on July 16-17 for a girls' weekend away. If that isn't a sign to go to Sepang then to try the ZX6R, I don't know what is! The cost seems reasonable but I'm not sure if I can/need to do both days. I was shattered after a 25min session at PG!

I see you've caught on to my plan. More bikes and more biking experiences before leaving SG. Supermoto in SIC's go-kart track sounds sweet. I would've had a chance of trying dirt biking by then, so supermoto is the logical next step. :D

I like 1st-class all the way. Will bring some death metal to psych myself up. hahaaha... But with lousy tires, looks like its gonna be no-brake drill all the way again. But good chance to work on the lines.

That IS great book. I've read it twice. But I've misplaced it so I have to buy it again... (goddammit).

I can only make it on 17 July. Am away on the 16 July. My birthday is 14 July though, so maybe I can give myself a belated birthday present by having a short track session. heh...

I might also get myself a DRZ supermoto...

Ooo this could be another fun trip. I'm sure Larry will be happy to give you the details. ZX6R in SIC and beers afterwards will be a hell of a way to celebrate a birthday!

Speaking of supermoto and like things, I am heading up to Tristan Park in Johor (tristangroup.com) on 3 July to try my hand at dirt biking. I'll GoPro the ride and post it here and see if I can entice you and Vik (and anyone else who is keen) to join me next time. :D

Got a quick question. lets say we change sprocket sizing. i know that changing the front sprocket to one size down would increase the acceleration but shave off top speed. however, what i`d like to know is that while at 8100 rpm on the 16 teeth vs the 17 teeth, would the speed be the same? the answer sounds damn obvious but i would like a second opinion.

Dont ask stupid questions can? U already answer urself then still ask. Knn. It all boils down to simple primary school knowledge of gears. I duno maybe last time u got deprived childhood nv go primary school. So i explain to u. A smaller gear will have to turn more revolutions to make a bigger gear turn one round. So if u make the small gear smaller, it will have to turn even more rounds to make the big gear go one round. Therefore the rpms will be higher to achieve the same speed at the big gear. So no at the given rpm, the speed wont be the same. expect a drop.

er anyone know this, howcome the gp bikes wheel diameter are 16.5, while road racing are about 17inches? does the smaller circumference help in making a larger contact patch when like taking a corner? (visualising while i type) and why cant street use that size?

Hello guys! I've been trolling much.

Check your sprocket combinations and speed here. *Note, the list is mainly for stock bikes. Speeds may vary from bike to bike.

MX.. total different riding style mate.. warning* do not use the front brakes! dont want u washing out . so get on the rear brakes, get the rear to slide around,u have long legs so thats an advantage n watch them footpegs, its sharp as hell..

ill try be with u guys this week for the PG session.. if my 125 cant be up in time ,ill bring the 675,u can have a first hand exp of the acceleration of a superbike (before we head on to sepang),err....on the front n back straights only please..go easy on the turns ya? :D

u get to about 200km before T2 in PG(700m straight)... in Sepang, u be maxing out at 260+ on the ZX-6 (1km back straight) n.. u be frickking screaming in delight in yer helmet n later in horror as u gotta cut yr speed down within a 200m distance to abt 80-90km before T15 loop ... that is the moment u realise how much downforce a bike have or have not. n how much yer testicles can take being squashed against the tank...hahahaha

hang in there!!.. almost time to feel the 0-100km in 2.9 secs... :)

Btw 8months old Aprilia RSV4 APRC SE for sale, $38,000 ono ... bike seldom used n did 3 Sepang trackdays, never race..mileage 1K...

and this is damn tempting for me...
