jus back from rounding with jasper, almost kena run over by a same cab twice .. :giddy:

 

the stupid cab spoilt a otherwise nice and relax trip.. SHA1694A , wait for my complaint letter to LTA , TP and comfort...really regret , should ask the TP at the road block to stop the cab and ask the passenger to be the witness of his reckless and dangerous driving....

Hallo everyone, I'm back from Phuket spa getaway where my fiancee and I got nicely pampered on the cheap. Had what they called Sport Massage, which should've been called Biker Massage - really unknotted my back and shoulders.

 

Wow, there's been so much activity on this thread in the week I've been gone! So much so that some people will be wondering "Who the hell is this muser and why is he announcing that he's back?" hurhur

 

A big welcome to new Aprilia owners and members of this thread, though I'm anything but an old timer here. Thanks again to those who've taken the time to read through old posts to avoid repeating old old questions.

 

More people getting Pollini kits, legal arrows, wah, we're accumulating some serious kit here! Plus, Lawrence is probably wearing out the knee sliders on his Dainese suit at Sepang right now - maybe even wearing out the toe and ankle sliders on his Gaerne boots too. I hope he's wearing his back protector.

 

For some reason, I find the idea of setting up regional heads for the ARC very funny! It makes sense actually, but it still makes me laugh. Maybe it's because of my mental image of xxes123 calling a regional conference at a kopitiam, hahahah! Tell you what, I'll volunteer to be personal assistant to whoever ends up as East Side Regional Head.

I don't think this worry is justified. Competition is not only a good thing, it's also the basic reality of how our economy works. So let the prices float out on the Web and let the shops compete. If they're being reasonable, they have nothing to worry about, and if they're a chop shop, then I have absolutely no sympathy. They are free to charge what they want; people are free not to buy; and they are free to go out of business. Yes, many shops were started by bikers out of their love for bikes and I respect that. No need to shield them from market realities though.   How do you get an idea of how reasonable a price quoted by a Singapore bike shop is? Simple: surf the Web; calculate how much it would cost you to order online from international shops; factor in import costs for Singapore bike shops; realise that these Singapore shops have invested lots of money in shop space and inventory to allow you to browse and try sizes; realise that quality doesn't come cheap; and then make your decision accordingly.   Perhaps my attitude is an occupational hazard - as servo and others know, I'm a newspaper journalist.   No offence intended; simply in the spirit of dialogue, as servo stated in his post.   By the way, does anyone know if tickets for the Malaysian leg of MotoGP at Sepang are on sale yet, and if so, where and at what price? You are right.. My bike is from Sin Boon... My brother frequents that shop so they give him good price liao.. he gets all his bikes from there..

 

They give me for 1.8K.. FQ plate including insurance... since i buy in my brother's name much cheaper(he has class 2, been riding for 10yrs).. So i paided 1.3K down and the rest intsalment.. interest free of course:cheeky:

 

If you thinking abt getting any bike there let me know ya.. I ask my brother wat price they quote him.. They usually give him cheaper... I'm lucky la.. so far all the servicing for my baby is free thanx to my bro.. Plus he is a mechanic himself so no one can cheat him!! :smile:

save the effort.. trust mi... u go to so much lengths to complain den in the end the driver also won get a sh*t de.. unless got tp wif u to see it... n tp got classify careless driving, reckless driving n dangerous driving.. all is different punishment plus lotsa details muz be known b4 to really have a case against him... imagine this, i don like someone n i know his no. plate.. den i go make up stories bout him n get a few frens to help mi by being witness... den tt guy kena.. u think its possible? think again.. i am almost 100% sure the taxi won kena a sh*t no matter wat u do... so...... juz forget it... no point...

My points raised are with regards to the garage sale methods and comments posted by forumners. It is sad to see the ugly side of Singaporeans shown here. Everyone wants a good bargain. But person A price does not have to meet person B price for the same item. U get what I am trying to say... ermm heheh lets meet up for kopi lah.. long time neber see u....

Now that you mention it, I do recall Law saying something about this. I'll go and get it from the horse's mouth then, once he's done with his marathon track weekend. Yah man, long time no meet up - must remedy that soon. Helps that you're a fellow shift worker with a strange schedule. Law actually called me up one night about 2 weeks ago for a tentative supper outing with you, but he ended up with other plans.
