Thanks Alex for that truly great link! :thumb: The first thing that struck me is that the guy is an extremely talented writer - he's informative without being boring. He's obviously a big fan of Keith Code's books (Twist of the Wrist 1 & 2), which he refers to constantly, but that's no surprise since he own the Australian Superbike School - a branch of the school founded by Code. But I feel he actually explains things much more clearly than Code. The best thing is that he's making all of this available for free on the Internet. I wish I could put the contents of all my riding books online, but you'd never hear from me again after the copyright lawsuits :giddy: I'm not a great rider; I just happen read a lot, so none of the info in the articles was new to me. What I'm really looking forward to is articles on more advanced stuff from this guy. I wonder if he's written any books. If he has, they deserve to be even more successful than Code's books.

People, it's really worth investing the time to read each and every page on the website. I guarantee you won't regret it. But for our friends still waiting for TP though, including Samuel and Benguin, I say get your licence first hor. No point confusing yourself.

no prob man... i believe we should share these stuff with aprilia ppl cos its a race bike and it deserve to be treated like one.... :cheer: ride to the limit!

ya need to remove ya left panel..

there ya see the aprilia clutch casing.. on the top left, there's this small component with a cable attached to it and 3 screws screwed to the cover... that's the 2t pump..

ya unscrew the 3 screws.. here how it looks like

http://img343.imageshack.us/img343/2025/untitled3ts.jpg

there ya see no. 3, ya turn clockwise to shorten the cable in the pump, thereby increasing the intake.. to lessen the 2t intake, ya turn anticlockwise to lengthen the cable in it... i would advice ya to do it gradually.. do it half turn in stages...

Tks Eyz!

Will try that & let you know if it works.

Have you or anyone else here actually adjusted their 2T pump?

Hey guys sorry to go a bit off-topic here, but I'm sure you will be interested in this because it concerns another ex-Aprilian.

I don't know how to contact Nick (0001) so I thought I might just post here.

Nick: I checked my sources and there are no Lamborghini Diablo SVs registered as SDU1-anything. In fact, the only car which has SDU1-something is registered to a BMW. Mind telling us what's going on? Or did your friend take the number plate away as well?

Cheers!

I think the number plate is faster than the Lambo... Diablo SV 0-100kmh is approximately 4secs. Number plate 0-100kmh is about 0.5 seconds. Pulled a fast one on us all. Really pulled hard...

nope... it's dry at the end all the time.. mayb it's a little lean.. mite be doing some adjustment when i'm doing my next oil change...

anyway, fibre jus reminded me tat's there actually a reference point for the setting..

here's a quote from the UK Aprilia forum on how to do it..

Seeing as it's set when at idle, I guess it's best to ensure that the bike is set to the correct idle speed of 1,250 Rpm (+/- 100 Rpm) before aligning the marks - use the black screw on the right of the carb for this.

regarding the black screw on the right.. i'm not sure is the idling screw on the right on a size 28mm carb..

and here's the pic
