Vick, if i am not wrong....If you are using original milo (non-operated), and if the valve not working, you wont be able to clear past 9000rpm easily.

Anyways, if anyone spots this S.O.B. please, give him a piece of an Aprilian's mind.

i agreed that easy to notice the car but playing with this type of guy is not fair to us rider, cos wat ever it is we are always in the losing end, y not just report to the police and let them handle it!(ALTHOUGH I DUN THINK THEY WILL DO ANYTHING AT ALL)

kelvin, I dun think that should be such a big problem.. I just got my valve washed on last tue morning, and i pushed it back to shop by that evening to do my other repairs.. It shouldnt be a issue of valve opening.. Plus the gears are able to rev to 8000-9000rpm, i dont understand why 2nd gear cannot..

 

Only explaination i have now is that the high amunt of 2T is casuing this according to Alex..

dude.. remember the taxi and bike episode where the biker lost his life? where the bike tried desperately to catch up to give the driver a piece of his mind and look where he got him..

u dont know whats in the minds of these mad drivers.. sometimes its better to just let go. u'd never know if they want to suddenly swerve and thats when they have your life in their hands, u want to give them that right?

Vick, valve can be ok. but is the valve motor working? if valve motor not pulling the valve, even if your valve is new, no use too wat. Also be aware that if you can rev easily in neutral, it doesnt mean that you can rev easily with gear engage while travelling. I think this is wat they called engine load/loading.

True, You have a good point there kelvin.. I cant remember whether my valve did open in higher gears... That's why i'm quite bewildered over the situation.. I suppose must wait and see.. Get my 2T problem settled 1st, then move on to this..

woah guys big big prob.. lucky my brakepads are not worn or i wuld haf kissed a car backside already.. when i was travelling abt 6 - 7k rpm at gear 6... approaching traffic light wanted to downshift to engine break lyk i alwaes do.. but den.. funny thing is.. i clutched in.. tried to gear down frm gear 6.. it doest even budge its the feeling u get when u're kicked to gear 1 n the stopper comes in preventing u frm kicking further down.. but when throttle abit n gear down it moves.. wad could be the prob? pls be the gearoil n nothing else =(

Could be clutch plates worn out like me, or clutch spring problem, clutch cable going to be gone.. or like you put and i hope so jus the gear oil need to be changed

great now my valve doesnt open.. guys got a question here.. wad happens if sand gets into ur valve casing?

sand gets into your valve housing area? no idea how it gets in man...if it does, you might have to take off your block and inspect it.It can't be the gearoil, you just changed it not too long ago?it seems theres something wrong with your gearbox.Lastly your valve can't open?you got open up and inspect? might be those bad carbon sticking again, or if worse your valve cable snapped(highly unlikely).

juz washed it yesterdae.. initially clicking damn loud damn shiok it even opens and den suddenly it gets jammed. wth? or worst scully broken? coz its lyk tt part of the engine might haf sand stuck to it den when reinserting the valve in cant fidn the whole keep shifting here n tehre scully sand accidently get in how?

hmm... opens and then jams?i think it might be broken.I can't tell, i have to see your bike...when you free i'll just drop by and do a quick check for you, or alternatively you can go to your mech and have a check up.

Valve might have broke also.. the valve stem is quite fdelicate if i'm not wrong.. Rather cable breake than valve..

The driver was a middle aged man.

 

What really drove me wild was that after so many years on the road,

given his level of maturity to respect other road users, he shouldnt have done what he did.

 

If it was a young boy driving a rice rocket, I mean, I will just let it go.

 

This old man, he drove like he hated bikers.
