btw, i heard that there is a shop at Yishun Industrial Park, that makes the same type of Aprilia Valve, but of different material. I heard its stainless steel, if im nt wrong.

It might cost abit more, abt $150, but its more durable n very unlikely to break, compared to our standard valve.

 

However, feedbacks from my colleagues whom have tried the valve commented that, there is a slight difference in terms of performance, as ur valve might open a little later, as the material is more heavy.

Meaning that ur valve likely to fully open at a higher RPM.

But u cld adjust the valve solenoid to make it open at a lower rpm.

 

Alternatives are, to make it dead valve.

Either fully dead, or half dead.

Or if you have the money, you can try getting the air valve.

 

If you still wish to use the original standard valve, my advise is that, about twice a week, try to play ur valve, fully open.

Eg. hitting about 9rpm on a particular gear. maybe at 2nd link...

And also servicing ur valve more regularly.

The type of 2t that u use also plays a part.

 

So far, in my 4yrs of riding, ive broken my valve twice.

Actually original valve now is now about $185 - $205 from what i know.. So this stainless steel valve might be actually cheaper.. Any idea where is this shop exactly?

 

Is it a motor tiam or some metal shop?

Wah.. Aprilia ah.. Well, it's a screwed up bike la.. that's why we even have a club called Aprilia Riders Club to talk about how expensive the bike is and how parts always spoil easily... Buy Aprilia and join us in complaining la..

 

I seen so many threads here dissing Aprilia.. Honestly speaking if you like the bike, buy it.. You think your money better spend atleast where.. spend it.. Go read up in SBF 1st..

 

I bought the bike coz i love it.. Simple as that..

Its a normal motorcycle shop, servicing bikes...

 

Its located in the Yishun Industrial Park.

Just after Yishun Town, n before Sembawang Town, if ur travelling along the MRT Track route.

 

There are quite a number of m/cycle shops there too, abt 10++ shops.

 

Just ask around the shops.....

 

Anyway, pls be mindful, that the price i quoted was somewhere back in 2003, when i was still riding an Aprilia bike.

Im unsure how much it cost now.

ur carb setting lah... main jet too big liao, ur pickup sucks unless u open valvel... but this setting can win any other stock 2B bikes be it SP or Krr..... but ur petrol comsumption also :giddy: ... this setting can only open valve on straight... corner u open then

 

u should try 8 k immediately to 14K+ (clear rpm meter),1st gear ard 80kmh, 2rd gear 110km/h almost immediately after changing gear tat is tthen fun really fun... :smile: but anything dun come look for me

Many of the bike shops at the Yishun Industrial park went when they tore half of the place down. There are still a number of shops there but not as many as before. It's just off Yishun Ave 7. Very close to my work.
