but since ya bike is already at the workshop, then jus leave it for the mech to do it for ya..

oh forgot to mention, there's always 2nd hand ignition from the scrapyard tat costs 15 bucks.

the price last time is $80+ but we know how to fix.. so we can save on the fixing cost.. but if u dunno how to fix they wld charge u workmanship think total cost wld bring up to over $100 as they too have overhead to pay :)

sianzzzz. raining.

you guys still riding? what kind of weather protection you carrying?

+helmet +bags means that have to carry a lot of stuff, right?

what kind of solutions do you have for this problem?

Posted

Raincoat in backpack. I wear the raincoat over the backpack and ride, although in heavy downpours i get a little wet sometimes because of the gap caused by the backpack. Coolmax inner liner goes on head, then raincoat hood, then helmet to prevent water running down the back of my neck.

I'd recommend the anti-fog film sold at motoworld to everyone wearing a fullface. It's a plastic film you stick on the inside of the visor and doesn't ever fog up, even in torrential downpours with the visor fully down. Only costs 2 bucks.

I don't like this rainy weather, i have a bad habit of riding faster in the rain then i do in the dry.

actually, if one is prepared to get wet, i think riding in the rain can be *quite* fun, cos it is cool.

only scary thing is still the wet road; i still dun dare to lean on wet roads - going through filter lanes, i go at 20-30 km/h...

sigh. seeing lass' picture of the tuono makes me miss my bike!!!

Yeah SBF clock is fast.

I tend to blast when i get caught in the rain, don't like stopping to put on my raincoat (most of the time i don't carry it anyways). I'll just tuck in behind the fairing and clear carbon, don't get as wet that way.

I also get very irritated with singaporean drivers in the wet cos they drive like slack-jawed faggots as soon as a drop of water hits their windscreens. "OMG WATER!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE WE BETTER SLOW DOWN TO A CRAWL". If they'd just practice the concept of safe following distances they wouldn't have to slow down at all in the wet. It's not like everyone is driving/riding on the limits of traction in the dry all the time and any moisture is gonna fling us off into orbit. When i get irritated i tend to ride faster.

Of course i do keep off the paint, although it's not that evil, and even if i'm not blasting (which i usually am) i still ride as fast as i do in the dry. Yes i am a horrible horrible person and a bad example.
