mayb it's jus the idlin off??

 

just adjust the idle when ya manage to start the bike up...

 

idle screw is located on the right side of the carb.. a big screw..

 

 

also check the choke lever is fully closed and the choke cable at the left side of the carb is fitted in properly..

when idling off when i start the bike it shd start ma but now it cranks n cranks but nvr starts...

Hi Aprilians, I am posting this just hoping that from now onwards, U guys can post more possitive issues of ur bikes in this forum. Make n join more outings n probably maintenance sessions which Sub Zero has been doing. Create a new image for others to see that this bike is a DAMN good bike to ride.

 

So many ppl have been brain-washed by bike shops not to trust Aprilla n causes the re-sale value of your bikes to fall so drastically. Insurrance n finance companies lost their balls(most of them at least) when they hear of Aprilla. Even prospective buyers who wants to buy an Aprilia is being "scared" away believing those crabs....

 

For those who might be wanting to buy an Aprilia, though I dont own one currently, I have done quite a lot of surveys on this bike. Even owners here can verify what I'm going to say.

 

Aprilla RS125 is not a problematic bike at all IF u do take care of it properly n do the required maintenance regularly. How many of those who tell u that Aprilla is bad really rides or own one in real life? This bike parts are from Italy n shipping the parts to here cost more n to pay a little more for the parts is natural. If u whack any make n model hard, the engine n parts will sure give way. Treat Aprilla as a babe, abuse it a little on the tracks n take care of it well on normal riding. I read it in Aus forum that this is a bike whereby u can open full trottle for 5mins n must close after that. Otherwise as time goes by, .... u know the rest. Any 2 stroke will have the same problem. I dont know how to continue but let the other fellow Aprilians tell u to verify my post here.

Hey, my bike also like that le. After the engine start, I must open throttle to keep the engine running. Cannot let it idle or the engine will die one. But when riding it's fine as long as throttle not closed. Someone told me that it's because engine is cold, but after riding for a while, close throttle, engine will still stall le. How long is required to warm up the bike? Half an hour not enough meh?

Haha Aprilia is definitely a good bike la! Damn nice looking somemore. But I think there are some misunderstanding here. Aprilia riders post their problems with their bike here, not to degrade the brand, but simply to seek advice from the more experienced riders here. If everyone come in and post only good things about a certain product, then that defeats the purpose of a forum right? That is more like advertisement and marketing liao.

 

So to all the Aprilia seniors here, help out newbies like me lor. Sub Zero is definitely very helpful, but he is only 1 person la. And besides, he's busy working as a security guard right? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA:sweat:

HALF AN HOUR WARM UP BIKE ?

wahahaha... my sp last time also like tat , the idle sometimes ok sure times keep droping den die.. went to bike shop they told me inside 1 of the rubber wear out change already ok liaoz.. quite cheap onli..

I have to agree with you that aprilia is definitely a good bike to ride with. I have ride different bikes before and still find Aprilia is still one of the best bikes to ride with especially for cornering. Aprilia RS125 is definitely not a problematic bike if one's really take good care of it and do regularly maintenance. And like what you said most people who said Aprilia is a problematic bike does not even own one!

hey guys, i jus realised when i ride normally say rpm about 5-7, there is alot of smoke emission. but lets say i decides to clear valve and rev all the way till about 10 or below redzone, the smoke stops after that. it is only until the bike has cooled down and when i start my engine again, then the smoke will continue and its alot as i am running rich now.

 

is it normal that when your bike is hot while running rich, that means after you clear valve, the smoke stops? i rev again stationery but still no smoke lei...not that i could see any ob vious white smoke.

 

can anyone explain? oh btw, i think i need to bring pipe go decarbonise...got charcoal smell after i clear valve lei.. haha.. annoying man!

 

but overall perf is GOOD! my bike feels real smooth now..jus wanting to make sure that enough 2t is going into my piston, and that proper combustion is taking place. all jettings are the same from day 1 i bought my bike.
