hi all cub riders,

 

i am frustrated with these erp types car park

 

i enter without any cash card in my IU into these carparks without any problems.. but always when i try to come out, (with cashcard inserted into IU) its always not successful. sometimes even if i enter manually the cash card into the machine, it still doesnt open.. my tyre too small ah?

 

pls tell me how do i get out successfully

Always have to intercom...

 

Alternative - stick very close to cars exiting, and exit with them... Try at own risk!

i did it many times infact. just wave my hands as apology to the driver..

 

i seen 2 bikes bike side by side as well "acting like a car"

yes. as i mentioned, after i put in my cashcard, it deducts 30cents for eg, but the barrier DOESNT OPEN.

 

i intercom again, the person ask me insert. this time round it become "invalid card" really pissed off

Then how did u manage to get away?

 

At last the barrier open by itself?

personally, my ERP IU is position away from sight.

 

so what i'll usuaally do is approach the carpark gantry and siam the scanner.

 

Then i'll wait for the message put the cashcard directly into the machine

 

Repeat same thing on exit...

its leychey but really saves alot of inconvenience of intercom.

?!?!?! I am stunned by wat u typed - If u siammed the scanner, how the gantry system noe u r there

Also, I dinno need to insert cashcard upon entering? implies u actually inserted cashcard b4 u enter?

 

PS: ok, i haven't been to much ERP carparks to noe if I have experienced all types yet - shd b somewhat standard?

my thoughts exactly. when entering these erp carparks, no need insert cashcard one... can others pls input how to get in and out of these car parks successfully? sooner or later whole sg gonna implement these ****!

the 2nd time i telecom again the person open it for me after i tell her the machine already deducted $0.30 from my card BUT did not open the barrier; when i reinsert it prompts invalid card.

had the same problem too.

and one of the reason the barrier didnt open is, our bike too light i guess.

the more jialat ones is those upslope, den cars already like behind u. its so pressuring.

when i go in.. i stop... insert cash card to their machine.

 

When i come out...i stop.. insert cash card to their machine again.

 

just like a malaysian car without IU.

just position your bike nearer to the machine.

 

Most carpark floor have 2 sensors.

 

One left, one right.

 

if they only sense right side got vehicle and no left side nothing, the system knows its a bike.

if you use IU to scan, no need.

 

if you dun have IU then put cash card.

I dun park at pavement but i sure enter/exit those open carpark by pavement & park my bike on the normal lot...gotta plan before entering this type of carparks...

Exactly! Coz if u haf IU and stick by bike lane, gantry sure will auto open ma, so u just insert cashcard anyways?

 

The gantry will always work when entering, its only when exiting then "... Not found..." zZ

 

I think what we mean is that when we enter we stick to bike lane, system scan the IU, very good, gantry auto open, swee swee no problem.

 

Then when wanna go out, stick to bike lane, system scan, eh wait, system cannot find our IU unit entering record, therefore "...Not Found...", and die die wun open, so LLST must press intercom for help by the behind the screen ah hia...

i can stop infront of the gate and it wont open.

 

i use cash card to enter and cashcard to exit.

 

to prevent the gantry from opening... stay VERY CLOSE to the machine (so that it cannot scan your IU). your handle bar is like 10CM away.

 

stop with your front wheel in line with the machine.. not your body.

 

I've done it for about 2 years. It works for me.

then maybe you can try stopping abit earlier then you usually would and paddle forward slowly.

 

rememeber to keep close to the machine.

so where do all of you face this problem? for me is at bishan junction 8 mscp when exiting... got 2 "gantrys"... the right side one doesn't work! that time i pillion my wife somemore and the gantry is at the ramp going down one... have to ask my wife get down then push my bike back up then go the left side gantry then can exit...

used to have problems with my own IU, as it cant be detected.Problem went away went i got myself a new IU.Maybe u wanna get it checked down at the test centres. are there any stickers pasted on ur IU? The last time the test centre technician told me not to paste as there may be some sought of obstruction but now my whole IU also stickered up but no problem. Think he was taking me for a ride .. haha
