huh? i know for cars it definitely will affect the selling if u spray paint.. stickers? just tear off and do a good polishing to remove the gum when u wanna sell la.. easy.. some owners did change the color of their vehicles using stickers. can protect the original paint also.

well do sticker is ok lah. it helps protect the paint in the long run too. and when u get tired of it just peel the whole thing off then the bike looks like new

Usually people measure on the condition of the bike base on the engine condition first then after that the outlook.

Regardless the bike model/brand. No matter how good/fast the bike is. Without skills the bike is nothing.

I actually think its the opposite. The appearance of the bike is the first sell point (hence the constant request in Garage Sales, to post up pictures). Most people will not be able to gauge the engine condition, its up to you to believe the seller if indeed the engine is in 'tip top condition'.

true.. But will u be satisfied if let's say stunning exterior but crappy engine which causes ur vehicle to break down in the middle of the road?

That would not be acceptable (only if the buyer knew how to gauge engine condition at the time of viewing)

I was just disagreeing with your comment that engine condition is first & appearance second.

IHMO, someone with a good looking bike but crappy engine is more likely to sell his bike first compared to one that looks crappy but had an excellent engine. Its easier to find a carrothead than to find someone that knows how to gauge & appreciate engine condition over appearance.

Agreed....people see outlook 1st...its very simple actually. When you go to bike shop to checkout bike, the 1st bike you will approach is one that is clean, looks new and nice. Then the 2nd step will come in where you will check the engine.

Would you approach a bike which is full of rust here and there, even if the engine is super good? Its human nature i guess. Looks comes 1st.

if selling in garang sales, different pp got different views one.

for bike shops, dont worry too much, they sure find a way to carrot you one. if you sell with stock paintwork, they say got scratches lah and blah blah blah so low price. but if you sell with sparkling new fresh paintwork, they also say not original lah and so on
