Great, more riders are polling... Feedbacks on these 2bikes are welcome but no arguements, pls, hehehe... Just read thru some arguements in other threads in comparing bikes(Don't wish to mention which)... Gentle comments welcome, PLS avoid all offensive comments on each other... Cheers...

aprilia has the looks whereas mito has performance ... but both problematic bikes ..

Haha, agree... Had ride aprilia b4 but mito not yet... Care to share experience for performance on mito??

fall in love with mito once i sees it.:cheeky: both are great bikes

Both mito & aprilia are italian bikes, the design slightly different from other 2Bs bikes but however it really depends on individual preference on what bike they like.... I like the bigger bike look and feel on mito and aprilia, haha....

in my opinion, the old Cagiva (pre-2009) looks better than the old Aprilia (pre-2004). It's the same design as the Ducati 916.

I'd say the old Cagiva can hold its own in the looks department even when compared to the angular new model Aprilia. The new Cagiva Mito SP525, however, looks a little bit like the retarded younger brother of the older model.

However, I believe that form must follow function and while the Cagiva does look great, it has the faux air intakes below the headlights which do not serve a purpose.

I've wanted a Mito from the time I saw one to after I got my license, until I actually rode a Mito and Aprilia side by side for comparison. That was when I realised that the Mito was not suitable for me.

In terms of looks, I'd give the Mito full marks. But the geometry of the bike doesn't suit me. I find it hard to be comfortable in the cockpit, and handling is not exactly confidence-inspiring. I'm 1.70m and I felt cramped and contorted in a weird position in the Mito cockpit.

The Aprilia, on the other hand, felt like it was ergonomically designed for me. It felt stable and trustworthy. I actually got my knee almost all the way down when I took a my first corner on an Aprilia. I wouldn't dare try it with a Mito though.

I've owned my Aprilia for 5 years, since then. I've ridden a Mito here and there once in a while to reminiscence old times on one, but every time I climbed into the cockpit of one, I'd almost instantly regret it. It's unsuitable geometry just makes me nervous.

I salute all Mito riders. It takes balls to ride a Mito, and even more courage to ride a Mito on track. I would most certainly crash a Mito on track, since by now I've been spoilt by the handling of the Aprilia.

Ultimately, It's all subjective as our bodies are all built different. Maybe some of us are shorter and have a lower CG, thus improving the Mito's handling. For me, it will always be yearning for the unattainable - I fell in love with the Mito first, but in the end, the Aprilia won me over with its functionality and rideability.

Just my 2 cents, I hope you enjoy your ride, whatever it is.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

i go with Xiao Yang, CaGiVa MiTo is still the best for me. But mine is Y2K verison. If tok about the latest model, its actually some difference in it. But the worse is, there is power cut for the new MITO. so Y2K still the best.

haha.. No Offends to anyone. haha

I'd go for the mito evo anytime but if we're comparing the sp525 and aprillia though i love mito so much i'd choose aprillia for practical reasons.
