You mean?

"1 hand cornering @ 150km/hr"?

:D:help:

Not a good thing, cos you never know what to expect in corners e.g. debris, potholes etc... Safety 1st... :pity:

to be fair, we don't actually know how much different the 2 oils are. just that the manufacturers claim they are different with this-n-that formula or addictives, and supported with some reasons which we consumers accepted. but of course, some reasons make strong sense, like the risk of clutch slippage for bikes using wet clutch.

guess what... we're actually paying high premiums for "bike formula" oils. e.g. $22 and $30 for a bott of maxima extra and motul 300v respectively :faint:

just that we're not feeling as much a pain compared to servicing a car coz our bike uses only 2.2L oil, $15 oil filter and sparkies.

to be fair, some car oils are also designed for high revs too. think about the supercars like Ferrari, Lotus, Lamborghini, etc. whose normal rpm is usually much higher than normal cars. operate at low revs and the engines will "fall ill" over time; carbon accumulation is a common issue for performance engines running "sub-optimally", sounds like a good excuse for "clear carbon" runs.

over the years of riding, i've know many riders using car oils including myself. i've used mobil 1 full-synthetic in my in-line 4 engine in the early 90s.

if dun remember wrongly, bro scarab also uses car oils in his red burger :p

:D 4L Mobil One that I buy from NTUC or Giant...$59... Or Shell Helix Ultra...whichever has got a promotion...

OK - I'm done with scooters for now after trying three different makes. SilverWing is by far most enjoyable and reliable. If any would ask for my recommendation, it'll be Honda SW. If there's anything I'd not like about this bike it'll be its weight and just too comfortable and easy to ride!!! I can doze off while riding expressway!! :cheeky:

The weight was not much of an issue actually because of the lower seat height, I can manage the bike well. It'll be great if its lighter though.

My next ride will be something larger (in cc wise) and faster and definitely manual-clutch.

Its been great to read stuff posted in this SW cafe. Forumers here are not only fun, but helpful in sharing tech stuff and trip-thrills. Kudos to you all and be alert on roads!!

GOOD NEWS!!! I've solved the front fork wobbling issue. Today tested with & without pillion, 1 hand cornering @ 150km/hr. Whether at high or low speeds, the bike is So stable that i can practically feel my front wheel sticking on the ground. Bike handling confidence went up. No longer a bike that can't corner. Feel is totally different.

Will have to mod your front fork. Nothing removed or tampered with. This mod is also wat the Japanese have done before. Satisfaction guaranteed. We've already done for 3 Silverwings. All 3 giving this mod a :thumb:

This mod will also lower your front fork. Thus the travel will not be so long. But not to worry, tested that it will not hit your mud guard, humps or bottom up.

This mod is cheaper & will also surpass the Hyperpro front fork kit which cost $250 before installation and this Hyperpro does not lower the fork. Which is not so good cos the travel is still the same.

I've also succeed in hardening my rear suspension.

For more info, pls contact me @ 91050569.

U still enjoy some comfort and performance with your upgrades ma.. :)

2 roads diverged into a wood, and I-I took the road less traveled and that makes all the difference!
