Hi guys, just wondering watz the ratio of silverwing riders? Are most of the riders young or seniors? And also has anybody ride their bikes to Thailand or further up north? I am still eagerly waiting for my silverwing. Still have 9 more days, hopefully. Sianzz

Silverwing riders... matured, stable career, handsome...

Age wise... mixture lah. Mostly young at heart. hehehe.

SW best for tour. No stress.

Many years back already got SW tour Chiang Mai.

Current batch... unless they have lots of leave arboh must wait 2 years for 1 rider to do it. He's riding the Tmax now and will tour North Thailand end of next year before switching back to SWT (I hope).

ya man... its a darn good scoot for touring, up-n-down to tongyam land is chicken feet (haven't tried northern part yet) but just gotta make sure dun zzZZzz off as it may be too comfortable

aerodynamic n long wheelbase design, heavier weight n lower cg, adequate wind-blast protection, comfort biased suspensions n seating (seat & posture), etc all contributed to a very stable n comfortable cruising speed in excess of the legal speed limit on the NS highway. use heavy barends (aka handlebar balancers) for better palm comfort. cruising at 130 (still can get fc of 21+ km/l) can be done without breaking a sweat.

this was a response from a naked biker bike rider during one of the hatyai trips, "hey, u mean u have everything all inside the bike?"

my SW gas a storage of >100L (underseat + glove compartments + 45L topbox) n it swallowed all my barang barang n shoppings.

other than chiang mai, the SW has roamed the streets of hatyai, song khla, krabi, phuket, betong, etc. and a kungfu panda actually rode it towards the yala region and made it back safely :p

welcome to the "SW club"... riders that meetup here are not restricted to SW as you'll also get to see other bikes; e.g. s4, bmw, versys, tmax, forza, adiva, wave, burgman, etc. still waiting for the downtown to arrive cos someone refused to bid >1k

Hi Chairman,

Thanks for diagnosing my SW's problem correctly yesterday. :thumb:

Bought a new batt from Ah Choong and fix it on and is ready to go.

The screws connecting to the batt are too small and can't be screwed on so my connections are tied using cable tie... :sian:

Hope its not coil issue.

Just change the coil about 2yrs back, also done by Ah Choong.

EO also recommended by him.

Pray hard...

how come? all new batteries come with new screws & retainers.

so did you buy the YTZ14S?

anyway, strongly suggest you should ask ah chong (or your regular mech) to check the charging system by testing for voltage output at higher rev when cold and when hot. coil may still be defective even if its not totally dead... i.e. works normally when cool but fails when temperature rises as the engine and eo inside gets heated up.

Ah Choong asked me to go to his side for inspection. hee.

Nope, i did not get the YTZ14S.

I bought the lousy one. Every 2 years will need to change one time.

LOL !!!!

Maybe i should fix a voltmeter.. U have one on your SW right?

Cost? Brand? Design?

nope, i haven't got myself a voltmeter yet but considering getting 1 my scooby and another for scrappy.

there're a few types circulating in the market but i'ld prefer the smaller "Max" compared to the bigger "Dynamyx" family (different brands but looked like same factory). issue is, still undecided whether to pay so much just to get a smaller Max o_O

Strongly Suggest u better use screws for the connection. Vibration while ridding may cause arcing(sparks) at the connections and melt down surrounding items.

Get it done soon !

2 roads diverged into a wood, and I-I took the road less traveled and that makes all the difference!

Hahaaaa,family vote tmax must goooo n sw600 coming soon.

Nobody knows the preformance of the SWT600.

Later the FC like old JDM 17-19km/L how?

My Tmax at normal travel 90-100 is only 22-23km/L....

But hor... report here says the 600 only difference of 2 km/l from the 400 at 60km/h, not sure how true.

Go check the specs page at 4th button under WEB.

Which means if 400 is 24km/l then 600 will be 22km/l. ya?

haha. How do you know I want the 600?

Maybe I might just switch back to the 400 since it should come with a low speed booster (for added power going up hill). **Oops. Update - Only the 600 have trhe booster.

Anyway, must wait for him get the class 2 first.
