Do not think its going to be 猫山皇..

SGD $12 per pax only.. hee..

Haha. I only want to bring my bike for a walk.

Durian nice or not is secondary. I also can't differentiate which type is good or not. Only like those big big ones with small small seeds. That was what on offer last year.

Btw, nice pic of your bike at Gunung Brinchang.

Buy Kup Peh means no more chance to take such pictures liao. Think...

I’m quite surprised that your rollers only last you 20k. I am just thinking aloud here, no offences. Other than the dust and dirt, could it be the riding style play a contributing factor? I used to have such problem with my previous scooter when I “drag” my throttle frequently without releasing like the way I ride my sprocket and chain bikes. Now I learned to drag => release a bit => drag again after some pointers from old birds.

I only have issues with the rollers (and clutch... but that's another matter). My 1st change the rollers got flatten sides.

The 2nd change (together with the belt) the rollers were still nice.

So I don't trust the rollers (or even my ride skill). No choice just to spend a bit more to have peace of mind.

haha. I also don't drag my baby de. heart pain one loh.

:lovestruck:I'm not selling my Swing any more..

She talked to me this morning while on the PIE to work..

For the various reasons:

- I still love the sound of her engine

- Its dammn freaking stable at high speed

- This scoot suits my riding style as i love to cruise at higher than normal

speed.

- I can overtake at will.

- Fond memories of my touring days.

- DEfinitely more glamours than a cub kia!

Thus far, i had 6 callers enquiring abt this scooter. But, i'm not selling anymore. :sorry:

I'll get to enjoy her... all by myself (first owner) :lovestruck:

- This is one hell of a scoot!

Hence, I feel it’s is important to do a through cleanup inside when changing the new belt, rollers etc, not just replace and ok. Else it may affect the performance of the new parts.

oh yes! this i totally agree :D

i don't even drag the engine but have always creep the revs upwards. still my rollers got flatten sides when i change at 21k kms.

could it be that the revs change too slowly such that the rollers couldn't roll in/out properly, causing more wear than those who revs frequently :?

just a funny thought :cheeky:

ceteris paribus = means??

Cēterīs paribus is a Latin phrase, literally translated as "with other things the same." It is commonly rendered in English as "all other things being equal." A prediction, or a statement about casual or logical connections between two states of affairs, is qualified by ceteris paribus in order to acknowledge, and to rule out, the possibility of other factors which could override the relationship between the antecedent and the consequent.

$150 is for the 12S or 14S?

did you check its "birthday" (activation day) or activated at purchase?

i'm considering changing to a 14S soon coz the reset everytime i crank start the bike is very irritating to me o_O

the last time i checked (few months ago), they have the one with honda logo but costs around $210; BS quoted something around there but said they need to order, maybe they also take from FJT

est. price list available at post#55 of Silverwing 400cc / 600cc Tech Corner (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/misc/multipage.gif 1 2)

whether the extra is worth paying is up to individual preference... but from what the shop keeper says, they're the same thing :)

Maybe your bike is "Fan Jian"

Needs to be whack o_O

There must be something that is causing the uneven wear and tear of your rollers earlier...

Hmm... But I also dunno :sian:

Seriously... i prefer the one-eye bugger than the two headlights of the new SW. But having said that, other than the headlights, everything else looks good for the new SW!

maybe u dunno how the shops work. all shops that sells Honda stuffs, orders through Boon Siew. at times why Boon Siew sells more expensive, its because they've a name to uphold and not forgetting they've to take care of their customers (the shops that orders from Boon Siew) also.

... better than i try to explain with my powderful singlish

my guess is, the aged batt may be holding the normal voltage and has enough current to crank start the engine. but at moment when current is drawn for cranking, voltage drops so low that it is insufficient to power the electronics. once engine started, power is back up... just guessing.

read that symptom is gone once batt is changed.

maybe it really is time to change battery liow
