No need rack. a base plate will do.

But be prepared to drill 4x holes...

 

Givi is ok. 45L 'Simply' or 55L 'Maxia' or similar.

Hi I wish to know if your underseat storage compartment smell like it has been sprayed with perfume. The odd thing is I dont put on perfume. I dont carry liquid other than bottled water. This nice smell is still here after 1 month now. I wonder if the plastic compartment emits odour when cooked in our hot climate.

Can I have a little more advice from you. So.. I intent to get Givi V47NN http://www.givi.it/cases/Monokey/V47NN

 

  • I requested Mah Pte for some quotation. I was quoted that I needed a rack (model SR19) which cost around $150. They said that SR19 is the rack.
  • I am confused between rack and base plate. Isn't base plate the item that comes with the top box?
  • What exactly do I need to pay for if I want to get the V47NN installed?
  • So, regardless of box, the installation will require 4 holes to be drill, right?

Normally the base plate comes with the box 'Simply' series..

Maybe it is different for your choice of box? Then again, I heard that Maxia base plate should also be a separate buy...

 

Sorry not much info from me. My 'Simply' is about 8 years old...

That's the thing that puts me off. I was shocked. I don't know if I'm getting ripped off or they were just giving wrong info.

 

Is base plate and rack always used interchangeably?

 

By the way, I also asked for 45L Simple box. This one Mah Pte say also need to have the rack.

So I checked Givi website.

Simply is using Monolock fitting system

V47 is using Monokey fitting system

Which means... if you get the Monokey base plate, Maxia 55 also can fit.

You might want to compare the price diff between these 2 boxes. If not much diff, might as well get the Maxia from Ah Boy?

Sunday, 27 Dec 15.

Fenix Inn Hotel @ 153myr per room (book yourself)

Day 1 (my probable itinerary)

6am - meet (under flyover at BKE before checkpoint)

7.15am (till 8.30am) - Kiang Kee Bah Kut Teh

10.30am (till 11.30am) - Visit Jasin Hot Spring @ 6myr or Malacca Butterfly/Reptile Sanctuary

12.30pm - Check in Fenix Inn Hotel (or go Lunch 1st, whichever is available)

4pm - Watch Ip Man 3?

7pm - Dinner at Jonker Street

8pm(till 10pm) - Pasar Malam

10pm - Supper?

 

Day 2

...... Beef Noodle, Bukit Indah Shopping, massage...

My SW-T kept me safe despite such terrible road conditions.

This was the 3rd trip to the far ends of Thailand on my same SW-T400.

I decided to get V47NN with SR19 rack... This rack is bike-specific for SW 400/600.

Anyone keen to go cycling in Taiwan from 16 Apr to 24 Apr 2016 (1 full week)?

Flight plus guide (safety vehicle) plus bicycle rental, etc should come to S$1k.
