This could be the transmission problem.

This consist of the belt, rollers, clutch and variator. May be any of these. Time to change this if you have not done 24,oookm belt change.

Mine is still running ok currently at 26000km, though It might be time to change cos my cruising rpm just went up by 1-2K.

No leh, problem when accelerating from stop, happens whether engine hot or just started, random feels like power on/off, whole bike jerking like horse....

Very dangerous when at traffic lights or making right turns at junctions :help:

Have this prob once on my old YP250 while riding: engine suddenly cuts off, all lights gone and then miraculously regain power. frequency increases to the point of unbearable, sent to my mech, solved in 15 secs...ends up its the battery connector bolt loose...maybe u should tighten the bolt and see how.

AN650L3 (current): All mod transferred.

SW-T400 (till oct 13): voltmeter, safety features disabled. coocase v36+remote. Adjustable, folding Brake levers. Givi AF318 windshield. on-off switch(pilot light, head light, hazard light), electrical seat unlatch,Dr pulley.

AN400K6 (apr07-dec11): side deflectors, J Costa variator, Dr pulley slider + HiT clutch.

YP250, RVF400/RS250, NSF125.

Hmmm no leh, checked the connector... and it's not power went off, it's like the engine no fuel that kind of feeling... all the lights still okay...

Juz changed my belt n rollers today.... Wah din know so ex.....

Anyway, wonder if you guys got such an issue. Frequently, when either moving off or when I'm accelerating gradually from a very slow speed(i.e 10+km/h), I can hear a *took* sound which seems to come from the back of the bike on my left side. The sound resembles the knocking of an empty bottle on a hard object. The sound comes at around 3.5k rpm to 4k.

The belt n rollers cost me $240 inclusive of labour. Originals were used. Dunno how heavy but the rollers were the same colour as the one that were inside. They were pale yellow in colour.

Used Dunlop, Michelin & Bridgestone tyres for my B650. So far, no issues with me on this and I do cover quite a bit of tarmac to be able to use all the above 3 brands within the time I had my B650. And as long as this 3 brands are available locally, I'll happily get them for my own use.

So far, Dunlop are the cheapest. Abt $120 front & $168 rear - whether you can get this price will depend on your contacts and relationship with the shops.

Michelin front and rear I managed to get for $320 incl of balancing & labour for replacement. Again same caveat as above.

Bridgestone - don't ask me for the price cos I also dunno. Last I heard was around the range of Michelin.

Anyway, mine is an old beat up Burgman 650 that has covered 92000km at last count. Happy with the current available tyres so no point hankering for something else. :goodluck:

well said bro.....

nice inputs here. believe many will benefit from this infos.

as for myself, had rode my Burgman AN650 K6 for 13 months. in a year, i manage to clock 65 000km. dun think there's anyone able to beat me. haha...

from stock, the bike came with the tires, Bridgestone TH01. this tires were very good on wets, i could even cross the white lines in wets. but quite ex. cost for front is abt $140 & rear is abt $190. all this without installations. aso tried the Michelin Pilot Sports. its good for flipping into corners. but wear fast & bad on wet roads.

i also believe its better to use tires that are available locally. i also thought of ordering Maxxis tires in before. but when 1 of them wear how? use 2 different brands for the front & rear? on dry roads, no prob. but wat if on the wets, the grovves designed to cut the water would be different. might cause accidents to happen.
