hi to all x1-r out there . just got my x1r and i need some help from you all . cos my service menu is all in thai . so any 1 got any sevice menu that is in english that i can see . pls help me . tk too all

i park on level 2 lei. my MSCP got alot of bikes with aftermarket parts but they seems to target mine only. i handlelock and disclock but this didnt deter them from taking. knn they drag the bike till 1 dark corner and start to do their work. i'm just glad the whole bike itself is not lost. i dont make enemies ard here. been living here for more than 10yrs liao and been riding for more than 5yrs but nothing happen until only recently. the only group that i can think of is 1) those motorbike group of kups who like to chill under the mrt line till early in the morning. i donno what the hell is so excited abt chilling under the track and 2) this particular group of bikers relaxing /washing bike at the 2nd level the night before. but i dont notice what bike they're riding and 3) this group of mat/minahs always chilling under the void deck till as late as 3am sometimes i see a group of bikers with them.

u got urself some suspects.

1) like u mention dragged to a corner - shd b > 1 pax. i.e. group.

2) based on what u say, the culprits shd haf been aiming u long time liao - no one will impulsive drag to a corner dismantle. Not only may they ald noe ur parking pattern - wat time u will leave ur bike there for long time, but they also know what time lesser ppl and therefore best time to strike.

But they are not guilty until proven so.

i oso wish can change to big cow but still got 7mth more T_T . i changing to SP . depend . if tml view the bike cmi i stick to x1r till find better SP

I just got my license recently..
So im quite new.. =)
Looking to get a x1r for myself..
But i have a few qns to ask...

Izit possible to get a 2nd hand x1r?
Wat is the reasonable price range for 2nd hand x1r?
Wat else do i need to know abt x1r before buying?
Where can i get a gd 2nd hand x1r at a reasonable price?

I believe everyone here is experienced as i've read some of the problems posted n the solutions given..
Hope to get ans soon..

I heard that in shops it is currently hard to find 2nd hand x1r..
N i just came upon some offers in the used bike sale section..
FBC plate selling for 3.5k,
FBD plate COI: $167 - 29 Month + $2k,
another FBC plate selling for 3.8k,
another FBC plate also selling at 3.5k.

So i just wanna know if it's a gd deal or r there better?
Bcos it sucks to know that my insurance is so bloody ex... LOL

then u might wan to get 1st hand instead. if u get 2nd hand u might need to overhaul maybe few months later if the bike is like 2-3yrs never overhaul liao and it cost a bomb oso. but overall, its ur decision to choose which one u prefer. if die die not enff $$ to get 1st hand and onli can get 2nd hand then u gotta grab 1 fren who noe bikes real well to check the bike for u in case alot of things to service n change and cost alot.

i recently got my bike from southern motors, behind hkl.

fbc plate 3.3k. with dunno wad sports rim.think yamaha. carbon fibre, not sure sticker or cf parts. racing footrest. and 1 very beng rewrap seat.

insurace for 19yrs old w/o p plate. 1k.

using x1r less than 1week. overall, FC super good. maybe bike still new? anyway, if u want gd FC, you have to sacrifice ur speed. vice versa.

er, as my back brake n racing footrest cannot gum, tried to e brake once using rear brake.

result = would have become superman if theres a car in front.

maybe u can try 125z. powerful. FC wise not sure. nv try b4. or RXZ, used to own 1. decent speed. FC 1l = 30km(70-90km/h).

changing to oversize disc brake soon n thinkin of getting 1 then change it to HEL hose/cable, something like that. any1noe any good shops that sells oversize disc brake at reasonable price? brand racing boy can le. W.Y seems as thou it has all the stuffs x1r needs but $$ wise, guess it would be more exp? advice any1?

that day, i just check the price for x1r 2nd hand.. the pricing diff is just few hundreds from the 1st hand.. better buy the 1st hand than the 2nd right?.. if u got the $$.. coz after repairing everything it will cost to the first hand bike.. unless that bike no prob.. so its really up to you bro..

Dun get from W.Y, seriously, i get my stuffs there, regret, too exp le i feel. Get from Ah. Boy, but dun fix it there, get your own mech to fix it. For mech, u may want to ask here de people where fix is good. But buying those stuffs from Ah. Boy can add up to quite alot of savings. Mech wise, not sure about the installation cost.

For start, How often is engine oil change? Clutch pad and clutch oil got change? Fork oil got change? When is the last time change spocket and chain? See whether spocket 'sharp' or not. Chain got uneven loose and tightness? Check clutch wire see 'flowery' or not? Then there is also about the rear damper (suspension) must check whether feel spongy or not too. Look at tyre threads see whether wornout and need to change or not.

The above are outside things.

Inside things got include oil filter, air filter, got service carborator or not, basically got do full service every 30km or not? Last but not least got decarbonise the stock exhaust or not too.

Side note, need to check whether seller got mod the engine or not, things like CDI, Carb, Bore system, the tuning done. All this will affect your performance and FC, and changing them cost a bomb.

So far i can only think of these, got somemore i will input. Above are my 2 cents worth, welcome any other inputs too!

the point is to get a 2nd hand bike that does not need repairs (best no accident).

coe wont be as expensive as repair cost for a 2nd hand bike for most case.
