after a a month of thinking after passing 2b, I decide to get a new X1R!

Went to a few motorshops to ask the price, Asphoon quoted 5600, WYM quoted 5500 (cash terms), and Hong Leong Corp quoted 6200. Thinking of getting from either Asphoon or WYM.

 

Is the price ok or am i getting hammered?

Any other shops to recommend?

Any things to look out for when buying or any free gifts that i should ask for?

I notice the bikes from HL is blue plus white, red plus white, while those from asphoon/wym is red only and blue only.

those figures are OTR price, excluding interest?

 

if the bike comes in full red or blue color theme, it should be the first version of X-1R theme. Blue/White and Red/White are late 2008 color theme.

 

Engine wise no changes as yet, there's two type one with electric and kick-start the other only kick-start operated.

I think importantly the rim fit into the front fork or the rear swing-arm effortlessly.

 

I like the rim with Yahama logo on it, but when everything is on can't really visualize the logo

true.. bt den the fat rims r much stable.. s im using my bike lyk everyday n 4 long distance. furthermore i think bt pillion.my fam most of dem r biggy so i rilli need a bigger surface 4 traction. haish.. e yamaha rim logo r just sooo nice.. too bad cant have it..thankx guys..

2) how old are you and u're p-plate?

3) does the quote to OTR quote or juz machine?

4) what color do u prefer to get for x1r?

but you might add some weight to the bike, I tried X-1R on spoke as well as sport rim see some difference especially pick up and throttle response. By the way I'm using Yamaha rim, if the rim of your interest are much more lighter than Yamaha original sport rim why not give a try.

 

The rear rim is as wide as NSR SP rear rim too?

oops I saw wrongly, actually HLC quoted me about 5500.

 

I dont mind paying 200 more for better services. P Plate. Early 30s. Quote is OTR w TPFT insurance. Prefer the one with electic start, colourwise, red or blue.

 

If like that get from HLC should be better hor, since they are the authorised distributor??

plate FBD 6106 U..chrome racing rootrest..right side miror only..original black sports rim...
