If compression no good.... That means, its time for a top overhaul... Which means just need a change of piston and clean the valves off the carbon build up.... What most people do in this situation will be to big bore and to do port and polish.... Den your power loss will be recovered, and even top up the power that you have lost initially.... hehehe

 

About the big bore, you no need to follow ah... but its just a suggestion that you might want to try.... Cheers...

WHO SAID MY NAME?! I heard my name. Anyway 4 strokes usually have higher compression than 2 stroke bikes. It's just the way the engine works. But the reason why spark is so easy to start is because of the decompression assembly. There's a catch at the end of the camshaft which activates below 200 rpm. I think it's 200 ah. But i know it's really really low rpm. The reason for this is because low compression bikes are easier to start, especially with kickstarter. Because of this, the spark can have a higher compression rate and still be easier to start.

 

Okay let's learn about what the compression ratio is. The compression ratio is the ratio of volume at BDC (Bottom dead centre) : volume at TDC (top dead centre). So the volume of BDC is your displacement + Squish band. The volume at TDC is just the volume of the squish band. Displacement u cannot change unless u alter the BORE or the STROKE. Which means u change to a big bore kit to increase bore, or u change your crank pin to increase stroke. Leceh rite? The next best thing to do is to decrease your squish band, to increase compression. This is where high compression pistons, high compression gaskets come in. High compression pistons have a higher dome, compared to normal, stock pistons. High compression gaskets, they're just thinner gaskets, not magic.

 

So what's the squish band? Wait for lesson 2 tomorrow :thumb: This is a pic of the decompression assembly circled in red.

Bike can run good enough already. If it was me I'd change the piston and rings. If you want to know if the shop chop you or not just go to a couple shops and ask for the prices. If all the shop gives you same pricing range then that should most likely be the standard pricing. :cool:

Haha. There's still alot to learn la. I still need to go school. Superbike school in Calif. Then there's mechanic schoooollll..

every mth.. can terminate anytime...but maybe its useful..if got accident can claim extra cash...my main insurance already cover 100% of my hospital bill... this one can get cash for all expense...more spending money if i suay2 accident..

hahah i was actually not interested... but the part got write "claim up to 6 mth salary if i get terminated by employer" is kinda cool... dats the only stuff i notice from brochure...

then tag on for a personal insurance

this way.. it's much cheaper.

payout also quite good.

 

i dont quite like to buy insurance from banks..

bcoz banks are banks..

the insurance they get are from insurance companys.

so they are just acting like sales ppl...

if u get a good insurance agent..

you can be rest assured that the agent will do everything for you

in the case of an.. *touchwood* accident.

i'm a living example hahahhaha :angel:
