Have to say, Team Honda had a great start. But number 1 will come back on the 3rd.

Viscosity of the oil depends on individual IMO.

I just read this on a bigger screen. I have to disagree with you. Viscosity of the oil depends on what is stated on the label and what is being produced by the factory. Preference of viscosity however depends on individual.

I used to support Man U! Back when Ian Rush was playing for Liverpool. Now I enjoy when I see man U losing.

Hey. Hey. Don't look down on em' APEK BIKES.

My guess is you've never seen one go by you, at 170km/h.

Face it. We can't run from the fact that our bike is a moped. And, you can't possibly tell them to go Sheng Shiong on a TZM. (although I've seen one)

Help,im a noob.

Costs. Usually depends on shops, and the type of goods that you use.

A good bottle of engine oil should set you back by $30.

A good Spark Plug costs $8.

If your bike is first hand, your motodiam should include minimum 5 x free servicing. And not worry so much. Haha.

Basics subjected to wear and tear:

- Engine Oil

- Engine Oil Filter

- Spark Plug

- Brake Pad

- Brake Fluid

- Tire pressure

- Tire thread

- Chain and Sprockets

- Clutch cable

- Air Filter

- Coolant

- Battery

PLEASE. Read the manual, and not change them everytime you visit your mech !!!

Slowly. The KRs have had their 100 kr outing before. But one thing is true. The group will split into their own clicks if it's too big. And there will be arguments. Sorry for being pessimistic but that's how it's like in singapore.

quick noob question, how bad is bad keeping the bike exposed to rain? My carpark got no mscp and I have to park on the surface cp. It always mingle around my thoughts about the question. If it can really spoil my engine or anything due to prolonged exposure towards rain etc... I got mine new and if rain does really badly effects the bike then I guess I'm kinda being uncaring about my bike...

I got yypang for track use but im using my quiet ol' gpr when im back in singapore. WITH silencer somemore. So im not in for the attention, no worries. Only wanna get some nice looking ones. Frankly, they'll look good in photos dont you think? Hahah. Peace bro. =)

I prefer a 40 as compared to 50. Both you state is a 50 oil. The number for the W not really important for our weather. Its the number after the W that is important.

Viscosity of the oil depends on individual IMO. Thicker oils tend to be "smoother" because it acts as a "damper" for the moving parts in the engine. It also takes a longer time to heat up due to it's "thick" nature. Thicker oils also don't offer the same protection as thin oils at high rpms because it doesn't get through in between the cylinder walls and the piston properly. Thinner oils also flow to engine parts easier so it offers better start-up protection.

thicker oil = higher startup viscosity = higher pressure = higher drag = more engine loading = less fuel efficiency

Most modern motor oils are formulated from various grades of oil so the oil will have the best characteristics of both thick and thin viscosity oils. Multi-viscosity oils flow well at low temperature for easier starting yet retain enough thickness and film strength at high temperature to provide adequate film strength and lubrication. Multi-viscosity grade oils have a wide viscosity range which is indicated by a two-number rating. Popular multi-viscosity grades today include 0W-20, 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40 and 20W-50. The first number with the "W" refers to the oil's cold temperature viscosity rating, while the second number refers to the oil's high temperature viscosity rating.

As mileage adds up and internal engine wear increases bearing clearances, it may be wise to switch to a slightly higher viscosity rating to prolong engine life, reduce noise and oil consumption. For example, if an engine originally factory-filled with 5W-30 now has 90,000km on it, switching to a 10W-30 oil may provide better lubrication and protection. The thicker oil will maintain the strength of the oil film in the bearings better so the engine will have more oil pressure. This will also reduce engine noise and reduced bearing fatigue (which can lead to bearing failure in high mileage engines).

For sustained high temperature, high load operation, an even heavier oil may be used in some situations. Some racing engines use 20W-50, but this would only be recommended for an engine with increased bearing clearances. Increasing the viscosity of the oil also increases drag and friction, which can sap horsepower from the crankshaft. That's why 20W-50 racing oil would not be the best choice for everyday driving or cold weather operation for most vehicles. The latest trend in racing is to run tighter bearing clearances and use thinner oils such as 0W-20, 0W-30, 5W-20 or 5W-30 to reduce friction and drag.

Motor oils that have a wider range viscosity rating such a 5W-30, 5W-40 and 0W-40 are blended with more base stocks and additives. Because of this, it may be harder for a wider range oil to remain in grade as the miles accumulate. They say it breaks down too quickly and does not say in grade as long as 10W-30 or 5W-30.

The young ones have been on top for a while now, there wasn't any old favourites on top since 2006. Only 1 old favourite.

I was hoping all honda on podium. Dovi was good. The battle for the 6th placing was exciting. So was the battle for the 2nd.

Ah pek bikes last long. Me & Slack got "kilas" by one the other day. We were roughly doing 140kmh when he overtook us with legs wide open. Roughly he was @ 160kmh. FBA plated, explains alot.

Sorry man, i just finished watching the repeat. I was working on race day. It's amazing that the Honda(s) engine is un-touched from last year. They only played around with the chassis & for better traction.

JL can fukk off, yes this is how much i hate him. If you watch him in his early days, before he went in to the premier class, he wasn't like this. No offence and hard feelings though. Just being honest. If Rossi wasn't in Yamaha, JL would NEVER get a bike that good.

Agreed. if JL finished last, he'll still celebrate as if he won in 1st place.

As for Rossi, karma got the best of him, he commented on Stoner "always falling" in an interview, looks like now he knows why.
