economy downturn = retrenchment

retrenchment = recession

It's a simple formula.

Displacement = PI * (Bore/2)2 * Stroke * NumberOfCylinders

Wth. Is that formula for real or kau asal boleh sebat jer ?

It's a real formula la. Lie to u for wad.

See ah. For spark rite, Bore x Stroke is 54.0 x 58.7. So if u follow the formula, u'll get

3.142 * (54.0/2)² * 58.7 * 1 = 134453.4066 (This is in cubic mm not cubic cm)

U convert to cubic centimeters, divide by (10*10*10) or (1000), u get 134.45

Isn't that near 135cc? Anyone still don't get it?

So if u get a 64mm block, don't change the stroke, u'll get

3.142 * (64/2)² * 58.7 * 1 = 188.86cc

Then again there are other factors like compression, the real world factors such as power loss through heat and sound and all that ****. It all comes down to how efficient the engine is.

LOL Hakim, i'm super impressed by your knowledge! You are my idol! LOL.

Where did you get that formula from? You sounded like some mathematician. So what if i want to make my spark 200cc? What block size should i use?

Btw i've heard of 80+mm big bore kits for the spark. That's strictly for racing ah. The liquid cooled system's totally gone coz the piston too big. Now wif the formula, please someone calculate the cc :D

No la it's just interest. Too big a bore may not be good btw. It's called being 'oversquare'. It's when the ratio of the bore to the stroke is more 1-1.2. When the engine is oversquare it can rev higher so that can lead to a lot of problems, like valve float, or even bent valves. So stick wif stock.

If u're interested i think there's someone selling a 68mm big bore kit somewhere online. Not on this forum. Or can go wing yap, they got the 70mm kits, but be prepared to pay 4 digits at WY just for the kit alone.

yeah, i heard of that big bore kit too, its more for drag race and not track race. u gotta have coconuts in your pants to ride a bike like that.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

yah got it frm him... 180cc kit what parts gmax offering?

wow.. can become teacher siol gini macam.. hahha.. yea but if we upgrade to that kind of power, aint we defeating the purpose of buying a cub? 150cc still ok but 180cc, my god..:faint:

So looks like its not recommended for the 180cc big bore kit? I'm just tempted by the number.

I'm so sick with stock performance, i want a better running spark. What about the vixion 150cc big bore kit? Will i face the problems like thrasher mentioned?

Get the vixion kit, it's still diasil and it's from yamaha so reliability is there. If u wanna go any faster, den get a bigger bike or be prepared to change a lot of things.

Ok in other words the block, piston kit and gaskets for the fz150 in singapore. Such a bummer it's fuel injected not carbureted.

so how will it being f.i affect our bike once installed?
