neway nick redranger regular in outings? yet to see his sbk

Yup, it's a good exhaust provided if you don't mind the low db it has with the racing kit on. Not as loud as the Yoshimura's but i got a kick out of its performance. It's a screamer. :thumb:

If you are talking about the the slimmer titanium one with the big header, i still think that it is a nice exhaust. Even sound wise but the silencer just kills its sound.

hi there, dun mean to interrupt the thread but i want to seek advice on big bore. I heard quite a number of Spankers big bore their block. What's the effect and how long does your engine go problem free after the modifications? Looking for real advice (from those who has done it) as i will have to do a complete overhaul for my Wave soon and was looking to big bore at the same time. :)

Thank you very much! :)

Just take note, wave got no coolant/radiator. Similar to Yamaha X1. So when you big bore, its gonna produce more heat & chances of your piston rings over-expanding & scratching your block is much higher. So if you still wanna big bore, make sure you get quality parts & nt those cheap ones from China. Got this advice from afew of my mechs. :)

:) i see, i was thinking of using my stock block and boring it to a bigger diameter to fit a bigger size piston. Is this possible?

Yes its possible but not recommended coz by doing that, the sleeve is gonna be thin. But its all up to you bro. Furthermore, you bought a wave. If you want a bike that can reach 140kmh-160kmh then you shudnt have gotten yourself a wave. Its like buying maggi mee then add spices expecting it to taste like spaghetti.

Can always re-sleeve but shops these days won't even bother. 140kmh - 160kmh? I wish i could reach that speed.

Get the Honda 'Wave' 400 bro.

With these aftermarket parts in your engine, you need extra care for it and make sure its always serviced & maintained regularly. If one part fails, it can cause you an overhaul. So its very risky unless you hve very reliable parts and of course, a very very reliable mech who knows his stuff and not just do things for the sake of doing. Well normally ppl buy Wave for a simple mode of transport. If you really want speed, you shud get urself a Spark. Extremely more choices of parts be it accessories & engine mods like carburator/pipes/CDI.

If i were you, ill just change to spoke rims, slim tyres, 415 chain & sprocket, aftermarket CDI & your wave is good to go. Leave the engine stock. :)
