When you are stopped by an officer and you do not have the neccessary documents for your pipe, the officer can issue you a $500 fine or bring you back to base on a suspicion that the pipe is illegal or stolen. It is up to the officer to decide whether to bring you back to base, issue a fine or give you a benefit of a doubt & let you go. This is reality. Not like what you have mentioned. Thank you.

I dont need to be a TP/LTA officer to know the law. Before you wanna start your nonsense, read what i posted. I said its up to the officer to fine you, bring you back to base or give you a benefit of a doubt.

 

If your legal pipe has went for inspection & passed & when you are stopped without the certs, YES they can check thru their database.

 

If your legal pipe has not went for inspection & got stopped, the officer can choose to escort you to any inspection centre for inspection, bring you back, or close one eye & ask you to go for inspection asap.

 

Why? Because your legal pipe might have been modded to the extent that it cannot meet LTA guidelines May even be a stolen item. Thats why they will escort you to inspection centre & the moment you fail, a fine will be issued. If its stolen or you cannot prove the ownership, even worse.

 

As like what i said, it all depends on the officer to make the calls.

Never in my statement that I mentioned that you are wrong and im more knowledgable than you. What I shared was my experience without having the proper docus and was let go without even a warning. Let alone a fine nor bringing back to base..
