Hey i just got an X1 about 1 month ago. Initially it did not give me any problems till now. For a week now, it has been stalling everytime i go for a complete stop at the traffic light. It's not a jerking stop. It just dies suddenly. This really scares me as i have to kick start my engine in the middle of the road, and it usually takes awhile for it to get started up again even if the choke is all the way in. I brought it to the shop about 2 times now and i told them the problem. They told me that it's probably because of some wire that became loosed and they fixed the problem for me. However, this problem still continues today. It's not cold start cause few times I had been riding the entire day. Anybody could enlighten me what the hell is going on?

Not really. Hahas thanks for your help. I think my carb is clogged or dirty or something? Perhaps i'll go back to the shop one last time.

Hey guys, I have a ported mikuni carburettor for X1.. Ive been wanting to put it on y bike but my mech advice against doing so.. however, i am not able to understand his explaination.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a ported or aftermarket carb? I hope those with experience can share...

If it only improves pick-up at the expense of FC den I dun think it is a good idea.. currently, im using a fast throttle and am happy with the current set up..

anyone can advise which type of engine oil should i use to service the x1?

if ur on the safe side, buy some recognized brand such as castrol, motul, bardahl etc..

As for me, as far as I want to believe the more expensive the engine oil is, the better it should be but I prefer changing your engine oil regularly.. no use using expensive engine oil and you change once ever 6 mths.. as for me, I change engine oil every month.. thats why i use cheap engine oil.. i used to buy the $7 elf engine oil at bendeemer rd.. now im using ah boy's $3 engine oil hehehe.. but please be warned, if u want to use cheap engine oil, change your eo regularly to remove the sludge build up..

so far, i dun feel any difference in the engine yet.. will be changing my eo soon and will see the result..

Ah An from Kaki Bukit can help to fabricate additional tank for bikes.. but provided there is some empty space under your seat.. FOr example, Wave, there is a big space under the seat, therefore it can be converted from 4L to 10L.. not too sure about spark.. but it will take a few days to fabricate...
