I, 'PM' Jerry7007 to check out, whether his B.I.L as the same interest as us buggers...Nope.! -he says' B.I.L dosen't have and don't surf SBF neither have any interest with the biking community."FULL STOP". another lone ranger or a lone stranger, on a Diverted quest.

 

Now a total of 2 lone strangers(1blue & 1silver bike) out there but we will be there if they need our help.!

Directions not a problem in Thai-Cam.. all we need is a good map, idea and a small group of cool riding kakis.

There is a pending Ko Samui ride in May, hope i can make it.. I am sure it'll be a fun ride with divvy buggers! You try also okie!

Well I been to Ko Samui by air. The island is fun and lots of markan. I like to go back again for sure. S.G sure enjoy if he follow this coming trip.

I went to Everbright yesterday to service my good bike!

 

A little break down on the cost...

 

Motul 300V engine oil (x4) = $88

NGK Iridium Spark Plugs (x4) = $68

Yamaha Original Oil Filter (x1) = $22

Yamaha Original Fork Oil (x2) = $30

Dust Cover (rubber ring found on suspension)(x2) = $36

 

Total cost for servicing = $244

 

I had to change my steering crown because my steering bearings is "gone".

 

Brand new steering set = $130

 

So..in the end i spent a whooping $374!

Hi Swift,

Lucky for you- Now you have a piece of mind -you have done all the neccessary things, it is a matter of when is our time only...now you bike should be in a tip top condition...!

 

Your ride should be better..! your throttle should be lighter..help by iridium plugs, and your cornering, U-turns and handling should improve by the spokes' medium grade oil - better ride in total..

 

Not forgetting your' 020 Battalax tyres too. griping' like it was on a racing track...!

 

After some riding give us- your feed back...! on the MOTUL V300 oil...

 

For me I find it is more suitable as (motul collaborates with yamaha racing team). which make me to try it and after some information from Grand Prix Haroze..!

 

Earlier I used- Mobil1, castrol RS, Repsol synthectic...they are all great oil but breaks down after some 5000km++ usage- (water cool oil break down- at about 8000++km)

 

As our bike is an air cooled which not easy to select a good oil- it takes sometime of trying, your riding habit plays a part- compared to water cooled which is much easier.

 

Oil filter always stick to the Yamaha-OEM filters the extra $4 to $6 gives you a piece of mind- mind you...! that same goes to air filter too.

 

KnN why? ours is not a ram air system/type and we never ride at top speed like a drag racer...!
