Hi backoff,

I have only fixed the riser but not the handle bar.

Reason being that my cables are too tight when i fixed both handle bar and riser.

So at the moment, i feel really good with just the riser with the original handle bar.

So i might sell away the Nighthawk handle bar.

Any takers for a NIGHTHAWK HANDLEBAR, can call or sms me at 98446431.

Cheers,

Jasper

hmm.... can i change a handle bar without changing the brake hose?? can i jus change the bar without changing the hose??

vtec...

the meter is in miles... multiply by approx 1.6.

157x1.6 is approx 254km.

Hi Bro vtec666,

The meter is in miles leh.. If it shows 157, you have to multi by 1.6 lor...

157 x 1.6=251km :bounce: :bounce:

Hi Jasper,

May I know what is the height and width different compare to OEM one?

Hi mctan,

The nighthawk handlebar is slightly higher and wider. I do not have the exact measurement but this is all i can tell u.

Custom,

I know Sun did it. But i feel better with the OEM handlebar at the moment...tested at 180km/hr at NS...no vibration at all...very relax position for me.

Cheers

There is a reason why there is a choke on carb bikes.

The same reason applies to why newer bikes (with EFI) make it compulsory for choke to on when you start it (autochoke).

So why dun wanna use choke leh .. But anyway some pple like to rev the trottle instead of use choke. For me I prefer to use the choke on cold start cos I believe they make a choke there for me to use mah haha.

most of us hit abt 200 miles when the lights comes up.

options that I can think of:

1. try change ur riding style and c how it comes about.

2. check ur air filter

3. ur perious owner may change the jetting to rich to have a better respond.

Swift,

try this... travel at 80-100km/h, let go ur left hand.

the orginal handle bar will woops.

this adds up to vib. on high speed.

I've done 140km/h with only one hand with my TP and nighthawk bar.

Try that and u'll know wat I means.

Wah, the "lion head" and lower fairing with spot light looks chio leh... can buy or not?

http://www.ydcn.nl/pics2/yxj900sn.jpg

According to HL, the TP's cowling contains of 5 parts, 2 side panels, 2 Deskboard side panels and 1 windscreen. So only we could get the items, minus off the windscreen, things can be done.

I think can fabricate it locally using fibre glass material. As for the windscreen, with the fabricated side panels, modify it to individual windscreen measurement. WORK DONE!!

 :lovestruck:  :thumb:

As for the lower fairing, Skidmarx and TCP ( http://www.tcpsa.com/ ) are doing it, but don't know how much.

I had took a pic of the handlebar b4 selling to Swift.

Vtec, Maybe U want to adjust the timing abit higher. That's happened to my bike, my choke lever faulty, can't even move, so have to adjust abit higher and rev abit to get it start each day. :bouncefire:

I had found this at DAISO, IMM building.

CATS OFF!! It's made of plastic (would not harm the cat) and it measured abt 21.8(W) X 50.4 (L) X 2.7 (Ht) cm >> 3 sets. Disadvantage is that U have to reserve a place in your bike for it.

HI BackOff,

I'm using it but after sometime, throw it away.

Reason: the cats will aviods the device but as a result it goes to places that this device do not cover.

It costed me $2 for this lesson, so ok lar...

Maybe applies only to my building, the cats seems to be too lazy to climb up e car park. So i park abit high to avoid them.

Another way is to call the town council to catch those *^&*^ :sian:

Each side fairing consist of 2 parts, front ( the white colour part and back to suport the front.. cost $260 per side.

Windsheild that they are using cost $550+

Thus the Traffic police look alike cost ($260 X 2) + $550 = $1000++!!!

U can try a few things to lower ur consumption:

1) Check ur tyre pressures or a 'squared out' tyre. This is sometimes so simple many pple over look this.

2) Check for fouled plugs. However unlikely in 4 stroke engines like ours..

3) Check for ur stuck brakes. Happened to me once, the big piston of the rear one(esp) jammed, causing low FC + brake replacement within 3000miles.

4) Check for a choked air filter. The other effect is difficulty during startups.

5) Carb air fuel(AF) mixture. Check how rich the AF is, the leaner the better for FC but engine runs hotter n 'rougher'.

a) The optimal level where u adjust each pilot jet of the carbs till u get the max rpm with all settings untouched. Repeat this from carb 1 to 4.

b) Another is to rev the engine a few times then check the plug colour. The optimal colour should be a shade of tan. Remember that screw settings n do it 4 the rest.

6) Valve clearance 'tightness'. If your bike valves have been adjusted b4 to make it 'tighter' so that it rattles lesser, this is expected.

Try from 1 then to 6...

Cheers!

Hi SG,

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

AU$110 or AU$100 is product price exclusive of shipping cost.

Hi vtec666,

Have you calculate the total- how many kilometer usage per litre petrol, from there you know..!

From the last top up how many litre e.g 14litre

Miles travelled e.g 150

miles convert to Km 150 X 1.6 = 240km divide by 14litres = 17+ km per litre

this is my usage about 17 km per litre.

Diversion full tank is about 23 litre... ~ 23L X 17km or 10.6miles ~ I can travel or cover up to 390km/243miles till tank bone dry.

Some buggers can be high and some can be low it all depends on your riding style and moods...he,he,heee!

The fuel warning light always "on" earlier then usual...there should be a balance of 6l to 8l...inside.

Every top up make a calculation, then you know your style of riding...whether you on the high side or the low side... he,he,heee! have... FUN!

Hey thank you Sg,

i used yr calculation to calculate my last topup of 19L...my fuel consumption is about 18 Km per Litre...not too bad...which means i can travel up to 414km/259miles!!
