Ask u guys a question? My friend has been looking around for this Front tyre Dunlop 120/70 - 17 for his Diversion...

But dunlop catalog like cannot find ley? Any idea if it has been replaced by another model?

Yo Palary .....

Not sure about the others but I always try to keep my promises .... :gun:

As for the tyres, I've changed the original ones to the current Pirelli Dragon. Original tyres too poor a grip on the road esp when it's wet! Costed me about 340 for the pirelli dragon, inclusive of balancing. Original size for rear tyre as in owner's manual is 150 .... increase it to 160 which is the max which we can fit in for diversion. This pair of tyres is much better than the original ones .... at least now on rainy days its not so slippery ....

Yo,

Looking at those foreign Diversion forum; the Dunlop K505 really got bad reviews.

They seems to recommend the Bridgestone BT020.

This friend is using this Sport Touring type, can't remember the name of the tyre. But the tire thread looks like some wavvy type that goes across the tyre.

And since we are planning to hit up to Cambodia where there are alot of dirt road., Have to look for a tyre that have sufficient cuttings and grip on such road...

Any recommendations?

Yo, me still not very sure what kindda of tyres is best 4 our divvy but generally the feedbacks I get for the original tyres are fxxxxx up! Safety more important, thats why though the tyres are considered relatively new ... i changed them .... no regrets till now.

"Dragon" tyres was the most recent and best Pirelli made when I changed in Oct 2003. The shop that I went to, at amk was the tyre expert .... cant remember the name of the shop though. Hokkien called this uncle "Five Hundred". He told me that ST11 also using it .... "Dragon" tyres can last for more than 20000 km .... i saw a used pair at the shop .... condition looked good even though it has been used for more than 22000 km .... no warping of tyres etc .... maybe next time round I'll change to BT020 and update u guys ... but not so soon cos "dragon" still new ....

Hi,

It was nice to hook up with some of the Diversion riders finally. Although only a few was present, it was definitely a start. For the rest of the Diversion riders, maybe you guys can join us for the next meet-up session.

We spoke of organising a day trip to Malaysia soon, nothing big, just a day ride to Malacca, perhaps. Maybe, other riders here have any other suggestions?

One thing was for sure, it felt great to be riding together last night. :thumb:
